  3. No idea Andy...it used to be quite straightforward but nowadays everything's so complicated.
  4. Does anyone know what form I need from DVLA to register my Loader in my avatar I need it registering to insure for taking it on the road to the yard from the house, I think ?
  5. A lot of machines get knocked when bad maintainance is the real cause.
  6. I know someone called Bob thats got one
  7. its a three lane road, which is perfect, just going to close the overtaking lane going uphill starting from where it turns into two lanes at a traffic island so no taper required on that side. Then taper my side downhill into the centre lane, which then tapers back in itself before the island. The road is an ideal layout really thanks for that Craig
  8. the bandit holds the wood against the blades, but if they are sharp it takes a shaving off, if they arent then it heats up the blade edge and dulls very quickly, once it starts smoking, you may as well pack in. the 160's are a crappy small chipper I know, but rely on very sharp blades for their performance, even 10 hours use is far too much without a sharpen Like I say, I remove and touch up the bandit blades twice a week, if it,s been chipping all day, i do it that evening. Totally different machine otherwise
  9. Smoke out the shoot is deffo dull blades. I know they are not a serious chipper but for the occasional user. Even my Bandit performs crap with even slightly dulled blades, hence i sharpen them every 4 or 5 hours, totally different machine. 10. Smoke coming out of the shoot like that is a sign of badly dulled knives, but the smoke wasnt there on the first vid and the performance wasnt either
  11. I can remember talking to you about it at the show but can't remember whether you said the blades were sharp or not, I take it that's with sharp blades ?
  12. I had a look earlier today and reckoned on one between each white line and a bit more, it's 100m so reckoned I,m going to have to acquire about 25 cones
  13. What is the cone spacing for traffic dividing (750mm) cones on a 40 mph road Ta
  14. Has anyone put some good hours on one of these sub 750kg chippers yet. I would like to know the longevity of them, ie has the indeed hopper belled out, has the area round the anvils worn round, have they developed any wobbles rattles or clanks
  15. How do you give feedback, I can't find how to do it. Or should I just let the kids do it for me
  16. The rear bucket would dig a double grave in one
  17. I just can't believe there's 14 months between post 108 and 109 of this thread
  18. No worries, I wasn't,t trying to have a go honest Trouble is with me I say what's in my head and it doesn't come across well sometimes, typical northerner
  19. I personally have a diary of good landscapers, fencers and gardeners and have won extra work for putting my clients in touch with people who know their trade and do a very good job. I have never ever got someone in to do the job then stuck a bit on for myself. Its an uneccessary cost to the customer. I,ve found that this way works for me because the other trades always recommend me in return..
  20. Sorry, I understood it as a subby was doing the work Just can't do with plastic tree surgeons
  21. Why didn't his brother climb the trees and do the work
