  1. A different senario. Recently on TV the single parent looking after her severely disabled son being victimised in her own home for over three years, windows smashed, car wrecked and physically and mentally abused by one family. If I were the woman that killed herself last year, I would have killed all my tormentors before killing myself, whatever age they were
  2. You've got to be joking, I'm off skiing to Val-desaire on Sunday
  3. When I get time I'll try some different setups but even with 10mm on srt, I have some lying about, I still reckon you wouldn't descend at any speed likely to cause injury.
  4. Found him scratting round in the chip pile today, he's made some little holes into the side of the pile. Never heard of Brandlings before, must have been what he was after
  5. They're forcasting another dusting of snow tonight but the cold spell to last through next week Trouble I'm having James, is I can easily get to the jobs I have in but the customers dont want them doing while the snow is here
  6. I wonder if there is any call for male prostitutes, might have to start selling myself
  7. Many thanks for the offer, thats very generous of you and very much appreciated, but I have got work in it's just getting to do it. Its a night mare. I reckon I can hold off till the end of next week but then the snow needs to be gone so we can get cracking. I know next year I'll be better prepared
  8. Cold weather No work for a month because of xmas and snow Money tight So...... Dishwasher decides to break down, boiler broke down just before xmas and now just had to put new batteries on the the Landcruiser at a cost of £120 each x 2 I am now officially skint
  9. I tried my fig8 a few months ago. I clipped it on and let go of everything, I didn't plummet to the ground in a ball of dust and die I just slowly descended, got stuck a couple of times where I had to move the rope about to get moving again. In arb we very rarely use one on its own anyway, I use mine to save the clutch on the lockjack so the lockjack is still attached or below the hitch on a footlock line
  10. You've been lucky Angus, one bee sting can kill, never mind 30 Did anyone film you running away, that would be a funny vid
  11. I've got one in training down in my barn. I just clap my hands and he comes within a few seconds. Each time I go in for some logs I take a shovel and disturb the ground for him to pick at, then yesterday, despite having no money to buy a loaf of bread for ourselves, went and bought some fat balls and wild bird seed for him
  12. I was more wanting to patent the idea for lifting the cup aloft to the climber. Place the pulley on a suitable anchor and get 5mm long enough to haul up the cup, I was toying with the idea of using a cordless drill with a small drum in the chuck to act as a drum winch
  13. It has been said many times before. There is no such thing as a ton of logs........unless you state moisture content. A builders merchants sell one tone of sand, is that wet sand or dry sand. Selling logs by weight is very amature imo
  14. Too late, already bagged him this morning
  15. Good "effort" Mick but as team captain you should have known that no supporting with the elbow is allowed, it's cheating It looks like more of a "lets gather our thoughts moment"
  16. The main Brighouse to Huddersfield road where it goes over the M62 an hour ago
  17. ..and "team southeast" consists of ??
  18. Just had another covering up here, no traffic up or down my road at all, just got our lass out so she can get to work she says even main roads are completely covered but got into work
  19. I did...only I slid down the drive You've got the memory of a woman, they never forget
  20. Yes it looks like a thrush, but it could be one of the east european killer thrushes
  21. Isn't there something about anomynous donations anyway, I'll ask an MP
  22. There's nothing gone down for ages then a minute ago a ford focus decided it would have a go, you can see the drivers flapping as they go past, it's funny
