  1. Is that weight with all your lowering gear on Rupe
  2. As a condition you would not get to fell your tree unless you planted five trees, it would be up to you to find somewhere or the government or LA could charge a set fee for planting somewhere on LA land to save taxpayers money on highway or park planting programs
  3. Hahaha One of my first policies would be to push for volutary uthensia for lifers in prison. To offer them a way out and save us tax payers millions. A painless and carefree death instead of life in prison to be self administered to suit them and it would only cost a few pence a go I reckon with a decent uptake we could pay off the national debt and get out of the recession in no time
  4. Firstly, a replacement order is better than no order As Bob pointed out, I did say 2 native and 3 fast growing, which means the fast growing would keep us busy therefore leaving the native alone, the fast growing would fix carbon and provided fuel. I too have lost a huge amount of work myself, through not topping and persuading people not to fell vets
  5. It has been here, the logs were getting buried as fast as I could split them.. In other words why weren't you working soft @rse?
  6. I think a better idea would be to have replacement orders on every tree, whereby if it didn't have a TPO you could fell it but you have to plant 5 trees in its place, preferably at a ratio of 2 native and 3 super fast growing one like gum, leylandii etc That'd keep us in supply
  7. A little bit of research would sort corgi from gas safe out
  8. Good man, lets stack the pressure on
  9. These are standard issue and will bolt onto any motor, all you do is inspect daily and empty when needed. Gives you a visual indication of a problem, if one day it suddenly fills with gunge, you know its drain the tank time
  10. I'd have the burner going with well done bacon sarnies on the go and hot cups of Yorkshire Tea
  11. Respect to you for working in them conditions, I'd have been cowering in the van
  12. Thats an awesome felling cut Dave .... Considering you did it Blind folded Only joking mate, I love a good crash and burn job
  13. He was lucky, in other countries he'd have been shot or beheaded
  14. I hold the veiw that these people are a danger to society, whether they are in your house or fleeing. Just because they are running away doesn't make them any less dangerous to someone in future. The muggers I witnessed mugged an elderly man, knocked him to the ground injuring him, he was standing at a bus stop outside hospital waiting for the bus after visiting his gravely ill wife Muggers are dangerous whether fleeing or attacking, in my veiw you are defending someone else in future
  15. I'll donate another £40 to the childrens trust if you drive through your village naked on the quad, with video evidence of course. Disclaimer: This request in no way infers any gay tendencies on my part, I am in all way totally hetrosexual
  16. In the case last year when I witnessed the old guy being violently mugged, our lass was driving the car, we were driving along side the muggers who were running down the pavement, I had the door open and was hanging out ready to jump when the car slowed enough. I was screaming at our lass to stop. Our lass had more sense than me, there were two of them and they were from notorious families it turned out, I would have had no hesitation on a spur of the moment decision in tackling them both and if neccessary breaking legs arms or whatever it took to subdue them. I told the police when interviewed I tried to grab the steering wheel to run them over, I would have tupped their legs if I had been driving. Spur of the moment or emotional decisions in situation we dont normally find ourselves in are unpredictable and sometimes dangerous, this should be taken into consideration by the judge. What I would like to see is an no holds barred right to protect your home from an intruder, to me home burglary is indefencable and the lowest of the low. When you come home and close that door you should be safe and woe betide anyone who breaches that safety. I think a burgular should accept the risks of his chosen occupation the same as we accept the risks of ours
  17. Oooh pleease Stevie, keep your preferences to yourself mate
  18. Yes the moisture content will rise if left out in the rain, beech or Sycamore may not take so much in but other species are like sponges and one dose of rain will soak them and take weeks in winter to dry out if they do at all, the only way is to stack them at the side of the fire to dry overnight. Split logs must be covered to keep the moisture content down simples Mine are in a leanto type open fronted building, never outside, top quality logs command top prices, another bonus
  19. I have used the XCL version which were brilliant
  20. It only sweats under tarp if you cover before seasoned or dried. Once dry keep a tarp over it. Logs take in moisture if left out.. If you have course grained logs in your pile and leave them out in the open it's barmy, they'll soak moisture back in overnight One thing that really gets my back up is I store my logs undercover, some for two years, I split them and keep them under cover, if it's raining I tarp them up to stop them getting wet, then when I deliver them the customer stacks them outside in the open
  21. Hahaha, I hadn't noticed myself Rich, well spotted. Still waiting for a lunge to beat Mikes mates second attempt
  22. You were just too girly to try it Josh, would have put hairs on your chest mate
