  1. As a matter of interest, can anyone tell me why on a heavy backleaner, I put the back cut in relatively high and not level with the gob ?
  2. Here's one of my hinges from today and no it wasn't the best one I selected, because they are all perfect Didn't do the lunge pose because that pose is only for something very special, so instead we sat down and celebrated getting a very difficult and risky fell in without demolishing a house by having egg butties all round Feel free to ridicule, I have broad shoulders and accept critisism very well
  3. Wow, never seen anything like that before, very strange
  4. It's hard to convey online Marc but my critism is hopefully coming across as very light hearted Neat and tidy cuts come with practice and we dont fell big trees everyday to get that practice in. It's just the lunge pose that got me, it's a very specail pose reserved for the right picture, I have been waiting for years for the right moment to take a lunge pose picture and as yet an opportunity as not arose. Then along comes some kiwi and takes the wind out of the lunge with some sub standard photo no where near worthy of such an acalade I'm distraut
  5. That felling cut speaks for itself, the gob wasn't level, he was jumping around and yanking on the saw in the vid, he didn't stop traffic, the hinge wasn't parralell, there was undercutting and finally he wouldn't have got so much critisism if he wasn't so cock sure of himself The lunge pose should be used sparingly and only for the best of fells, its a bit like a pub man ordering wine
  6. We felled 60 in the last two days but only one was as big as that one and guess what......the hinge was neat and tidy
  7. Cant you see his big head Stevie
  8. The others aren't Arbtalkers Liam.. I was going to take the wood Bob but I have enough and the yard move might be early next year so there was no fighting, but there was more than enough to go round, there's another tractor and 10 tonne trailer coming tomoz Oh...and 14 houses Johnny
  9. Been working with my mate this week felling and removing an avenue of around 70 mature trees. Got about 60 of them done in two days but the site is getting a little muddy now which is slowing things down. Every single tree bar one is being felled. We skidded the first 30 trees out with the landy and an L200 and got the tractor in for the second day. This is the beauty of getting to know local Tree Surgeons. The job is one friends, me and another friend are subbing in doing the work and another tree surgeon came with the tractor and trailer to take away the timber. So four local tree surgeons working together and using each others kit. Its the future
  10. Because it is I'd rather have an effective "neat and tidy" felling cut than an effective "dogs dinner" felling cut One day, a dogs dinner felling cut might not be effective.
  11. Haha, I wouldn't pose next to that hinge Did the bar come loose Mike ??
  12. Have you atually got the job or quoting for it, if not then just bang £250 per day on for the lights and worry about it if you get the job. More often than not you do a lot of worrying for nothing, it's very rare we win jobs pricing in proper traffic managment
  13. It's as if the theives are psychic One lapse in security and its taken advantage of, very sad world we live in.
  14. No John, I wasn't famous then so was a bit niave, now I just put it in the hands of my agent
  15. That happened to me John, gave the local rag a story and it hit all the nationals, they were ringing me all week. Workmen are cone idle | The Sun |News
  16. Just downloaded and run it Made quite a difference to mine, lot quicker loading pages
  17. I think they are a danger to the public, the same presenter cocked up a few times ! I found the camera man going for a swim off the banking was the funniest
  18. Do you know, I laugh at all the posts about how wonderful the kids are, I was the same they were brilliant when younger, now they're 16 and 19 and fighting in lumps I can't wait for them to leave home and get their own pads
  19. I have to blow the dust out of the processor cooling fins every three months, must have a dusty house, but thats the first place to start. Symptoms were same as yours with the fan running all the time and the comp doing weird things. After you have done that do a disc clean That normally fixes mine
  20. Did you have any "Numptys keep away" signs up Rupe
  21. Tried mine again after the sound was rubbish on the vids I posted on youtube and it turns out there must be a fault. I'll try ringing this week to sort it out
