  1. I hope you are tucking it in at night and reading it a bed time story
  2. No, performs the same, not that I get my rope wet that often
  3. Haha, I never saw this because I only look at unread posts which doesn't bring up the lounge posts, so I miss loads Mark, your a star mate, you never let the side down
  4. Very true I think the Aussies will be getting fed up of us limeys before long ...and the french must be sick to the back teeth of us, we complain about immigrants here but we invade other countries and buy up all their cheap housing, which then forces up their house prices
  5. I have a lovely piece of Oak I found which had been buried under a hedge for about 30 years, which will make lovely chopping boards with features. Might get me one of them there mills
  6. totally the groundies fault The groundy will have known he cocked up and will have been off running down the road before the climber got back down. I normally cut through the hinge after it's started to go over so it just falls off. I only leave the hinge intact with a really shallow gob on big tops when not lowering to make them jump well away from the stem or clear a fence, works well with really tall Lombardies but you do have to hang on sometimes
  7. No good on thick beech but I think the rings are adjustable, which is a feature that Mick would find appealing
  8. How thick have you planked them david
  9. I'm not speaking to you until you send me a parcel
  10. That biner is not the one I normally use, I have two of the biner with the green gate (dmm I think) which I use on the lockjack Tim, I think that was the biner on the other end of the tape sling which I use to extend the LJ away from me which goes on my bridge
  11. Get some stuff thats easier to splice Bob, I've heard it's a right bitch, but there again, another person told me they could do it with one hand tied behind their back
  12. The thing in the background is "Castle Hill" , very famous round kirklees Plasterings finished I've tiled the floor and half the walls, told our lass I need some r and r otherwise the tiles might end up squiff ...and proper ladys they are Dave, they are what me and you would term as posh totty, the one on the right manages three large estates I had to get their attention Stevie, so I told them about yours
  13. It is on that picture but I carry a 600mm tape sling to put inbetween to send the lockjack away from me for hand over hand ascending and also upgraded it to the swivel eye
  14. It more about tidying up clutter, look at all that bulk you'd be getting rid of just by using a spliced eye. Knots and stoppers get in the way
  15. it would look much better terminated with a spliced eye instead of blake and stopper knot
  16. Jesus !! I bought three of those lamps, one for me and two for the raffle, just tried mine and they are awesome, really bright with one lamp, turn the second one on and they are super bright
  17. That cant be true David, I dont dismantle, I fell and apparently I learnt felling from a master feller
  18. When I do something I do it right Tile round the bog or under it ? Tile up to the bath or completey tile under ? Tile round the drain hole or diamond drill after tiling ?
  19. Hahaha, I'm saving all my moans up for a right good big moan after xmas I'm so busy doing the bathroom I promised our lass I haven't got time to get injured or moan
