  1. I can do ANYTHING me !!!!!!!!! Tree Surgery Mechanic Chipper repairs and Service Welding Dry Stone Walling Building Roofing Spray painting Power Tool and Generator repairs Fencing (anyone can do that) Market Trading Stone letter carving Kitchen Fitting Plumbing Electrician HGV Driving HGV repairs ...and I'm sure if I put my hand to it I could do a better job at civil service than most civil servants
  2. Very good ! The artistic flair is there He might have been just wiping away or blowing away dust, on soft stuff you can wipe it after with silicone, same stuff as they use for damp proof course just to waterproof it
  3. Not one of us can judge this particular person, only Mesterh... I worked the markets for 20 years and dealt with thousands of inquiries a day, so got to know who's serious and who isn't. I can have two people ring up and ask the same as above, you can still tell if one of them might be a waste of time, just as Rupe says, its how they say it not what they say. Like I say, if your not busy you can afford to waste time on them and see. When I started I looked at every single job, whether I knew I was wasting my time or not
  4. Ed..... Ed....ed ...ed You really do have too much time on your hands, dont you have some log splitting or something to do ?? Nice quality pics though
  5. Hahaha, the world you live in is totally different to ours Stevie babe
  6. Haha, I tried that with my landrover but I couldn't get the speed up, it stopped dead at 2 mile an hour with a right thud Best thing with posts is you can lift them up inside the chipper a frame
  7. Where's Leicester, is that the dordiogne region
  8. It like asking a mechanic how much to fix your car.. What's wrong with it? I dont know I just want a quote to fix it.... I can't tell you without looking at it... Can't you give me a rough idea?? No!! If they require a blunt answer Stevie I give them one.... Top and bottom of it is I have never had a job out of this type of customer and I have had loads, so now I dont bother with them... If you are short of work and need every job, then persevere but IMO 9 times out of ten your wasting your breath
  9. Found this on Youtube to give you an idea.......... All I willsay about it is he must be carving chalk The stone I carved took me about 15 minutes per letter Turn off the sound BTW [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40VsGoMkvIw]YouTube - Hand Carving stone lettering[/ame]
  10. These are good Ben and many hire companies use them especailly the 100 footer OMMELIFT / Lifts / Trailer / Telescope trailer lifts
  11. Central to where France ?? !!
  12. Yes the stones were already cemented in, so just sat on a stools on a windy day and plodded on. A woman walked past who's dad used to own my house and she burst into tears I was gobsmacked, when she eventually calmed down it turns out her dad had died and one of the things he always wanted was the name of the house carving in stone at the bottom of the drive With the right chisels it quite easy to do, it's just the chisels are mega bucks
  13. The dutch will be out of it on space cake and the danes wont be able to see what they are doing for the bright sunlight because they're nocturnal for half the year I've earned some money despite the rain mate, drew in £400 in one hand and gave 1/4 of it to the vet in the other for looking at a lump on the dogs cheek. Anti biotics are a fortune of late mate, might look into buying some off the net. Weather looks nice as well, seems to be clearing up Landrovers running ok no problems there. Chipper blades need changing I reckon, it's struggling a bit on leylandii, first sign of blunt blades is when it wraps instead chipping. Dont know what to have for tea tonight, fancy a bit of tuna mi-sen but our lass will be home late so will end up having a chinky. Keyboards looking a bit dusty, might just get the pldge out.. Mmmm, nose needs a pick Bums a bit itchy too, might give it a scratch. What you say...........footballs on. Oh right, might go and stick pins in my eyes or stick my tongue in some battery acid for entertainment whilst it's on then
  14. Haha Yeh but, no but, yeh! Not a single england flag tattoo on that very well toned but well insulated body and that photo was taken on the main shopping plaza, I was arrested 5 seconds later
  15. Haha Well spotted Buzz, I had to look for that
  16. I have said many times before Tom, your stone work is awesome. You need to try some of this next .. This was my first attempt...the names stones at the bottom of my drive
  17. I've only got one of one I started recently, did the wall on my drive but only the top half and have really got a photo, but it's in the background of the chipper pic from the top of the spare wheel up, which is a retaining wall. Some of the stones or throughs on the wall behind the chipper actually stick out four feet behind the wall into the ground as ties
  18. Holy cow andy you are a crap photographer
  19. It is mate, it's a "through" that is about 4" on bed.
  20. Cheers Guys I reckoned on 18" and have just scoured google and found one site recommending hedges over 2 ft tall be spaced 18" That means the 120 plants I have will cover the distance for the first batch, just have to wait 10 years to enjoy a nice hedge No worries Arb Culture, I'll let you know
  21. Ditto that, cover them but keep the cover up off the logs. Mine in the barn in a big pile still go mouldy in the middle, but worse than that. Thats why I started leaving them outside to partailly season then under cover for the final seasoniing I thought about doing the same as you, storing in vented bags but under cover. But I reckon in a barn they wouldn't get the aircirculating round them that they need to keep mould free. Tin sheets are the ideal cover as they will not drape over the sides
  22. I got them when I had the exhibition unit Matty, the trailer was worth £8K and the stock about £20K all there nice and convenient for our friends to cut off the locks and tow away I couldn't warrant buying them now though, chippers inside alarmed up
  23. Hahaha If I didn't feed one of them every day he would cry all day and all night then start eating his leg
