  1. Did you tel Heave and Ustilinia to get down out of the tree, silly girls
  2. I have also notice quite a lot of recovered H/C where the cracks and wounds have healed with no intervention. Treatment to me is like giving antibiotics to humans The tree needs to recover and develop resistance to a disease not be treated against a disease. The disease will come back stronger. ??? Anyway I,m niffed with JCA at the moment
  3. Looks nice mate, but where did you learn photography, the Andy Collins schools of arts I'm crap as well to be fair
  4. Interesting hinge Michael or is it the start of yout totum pole carving
  5. Searching for casualties with a dog Rediculous !
  6. You'll just about build one yourself for that Veners If your building one you'll need to use Avdel rivets and will need a gun. Normal rivets will just rattle loose Google "Service Metals" for ali planking or truck panelling infact all you need
  7. ..or you could spend two days on a job instead of one and earn £400 instead of £800
  8. I'm going to quote £15.97 to everyone who wants a quote over the phone Thats breakfast and Lunch covered
  9. Haha, no.....they didnt climb inside the conifer mate
  10. Why would they want to know a price over the phone when you offer free no obligation quotes, thats the whole idea isn't it. If you told them between £300 and £500 over the phone then got there and went, ahh, it's going to be double that, you never mentioned 3 flights of steps, a sloped garden and 300m drag, they'd moan like frig and think you were a plonker, then spread the word round you tried to rip them off
  11. Dont take this the wrong way stevie babe but quoting over the phone in this business is extremely fool hardy. You may not have been bitten yet and you also probably haven't got a rigid pricing scheme. One thing I do do is consistent pricing, I have a set criteria and can quote one job one year and without referencing it quote within £50 a year down the line. My prices are not "off the top of my head" Christ, there's many on here have majorly cocked their price up after a site visit and looking at it from all angles so expecting to get it right over the phone is rediculous
  12. No... Never price a job without looking. How many men will it be ball busting or easy days, will it be tackle busting days or easy days, will it be fuel thirsty days, chipper running all day.
  13. Stevie Your looking at it wrong mate, you are taking it as though everytime we pick up the phone we shout and ball at our customers. I get it about twice a year mate, the rest of the time I dont have problems. Pricing jobs over the phone is simply suicide, it is not impossible but it will come back and bite you in the butt big style very often Never ever ever give a price over the phone or even an idea of price, once the seed is planted they'll hold you to it
  14. Dont encourage him Tommy, he's bad enough as it is
  15. The stones on the side of the house were walled so they tilted and there was a tiny ledge ontop of each course of stone, we were seeing if we could rock climb up the wall, good job no-one was getting dressed in the bedroom
  16. I think your spot on there Mesterh and Stevie is way off the mark:laugh1:
  17. Oops sorry about last one, not me BTW I'm not that grey...or ugly
  18. Never mind Andy, it wont be long before me and thee are sat in our mobility chairs with blanket over our laps on the beach front with our carers wiping dribble from the corner of our mouths Micks nearly there now
  19. It'd have been nicer had it been a Toyota mate Which draw does the chip go in Josh ?
  20. Just remember to upgrade your insurance for landscaping, a local landscaper I know has hit more drains ,water and gas services than you can shake a stick at. He now carrys straight connectors for all sizes of plastic water pipe
  21. Did you look at a x section I reckon high water content because of deadwood in the middle down the length of the stem then frost comes along and blows it apart ??
  22. The 30m Omme has it's own built in hydraulic mover
