  1. I can see a point re effluence next to a river course but that is a totally different issue.
  2. I'll give you one thing Daniel, you like to stand out from the crowd
  3. I think you need to first assertain whether the engine is actually running hot first using a thermometer on the temperature sender housing or the thermostat housing My landrover had similar problems which after replacing almost everything it turned out to be the actual guage that was faulty
  4. I'll take my chances I think and argue the toss when summond to court.
  5. I would drop out the water in the rad and refill with radiator flush and run it for a couple of days then drain and flush the system. Also check the inner core matrix (zigzag stuff inbetween) The outside can look clean and nice but the inner can have rotted away like my landrover did, shine a light through the rad fins to check it's clean and good
  6. Why not just speedline it, would have been much quicker
  7. I'm not reffering to this video Nowt wrong with it apart from it was a 1 out of 10 stunt fell
  8. Felling trees at height is no problem except when they have a structural fault or a lean
  9. Nowt wrong with high felling, comes in handy in the domestic enviroment As for the mewp, why do you need two men
  10. We have felled some big manky half rotten Oaks today in a small woodland using techniques definately not in the good practice guidelines, and knocked some big tops out off spikes and rolling them off other trees whilst having to dive out the way of their twist But the last thing I would do is make a video of what I did and post it passing it off as they way to do it. To do or carry out unorthodox techniques involves quite a bit of experience and understanding of wood, wind, momentum, stresses, reactions etc etc etc which I believe is why these techniques should be taught over time through apprenticeship, not from a video made on a shoestring that doesn't and cannot go into detail
  11. I take it you have not watched all his videos and are basing your above comment on the few you have seen
  12. Thats all well and good if the reader bothers to go past the first post and read the comments. You cannot guarantee that a newbie will. Someone may just watch the video from youtube or on the first post here and not see any feedback. Unsafe practices should not be posted in the first place to avoid this happening. As for character assassination, how many nice negative comments does it take for someone to stop their prolific posting on multiple forums of dangerous techniques, short of calling someone a blithering idiot. Dadio posted a vid of him at work doing his thing (one of his first vids), I enjoyed that and dont have a problem with that, what I do have a problem with is when he seems to go into "teacher" mode passing off dangerous techniques as the way to do it If you advocate these then you are imo sending out bad signals
  13. Exactly my thoughts.... Some people are very thick skinned and cannot take a hint. Various forums have tried to drop hints, then directly pointed out, but yet the dodgey vids still continue from one forum to another. I dont advocate insulting a person but I do advocate ripping to pieces videos that are put forward as a way of dealing with things when clearly they are down right dangerous
  14. I think the "deal" is.. peoples opinions differ...we are all different and what some may see as a stunning piece of work well done...others may not
  15. Just put snitcher text alarm in google or ebay and it will bring up the price I think they have a movement sensor inside, but they also have an external trigger wire. In other words a spare wire you can attach any trigger, a switch, pressure pad, micro switch or anything
  16. I hope you can come up with a better "stunt fell" than that, there was acres or room there
  17. Drew is now famous... If you have been in "The Sun" you are a celeb and should get an agent and start taking bookings Nice one Drew
  18. Sorry Rupe, I should explain more clearly, I am required to do so being an employer of a student
  19. I dont see the need to send in saws for service if you are competent enough to service yourself. All you are required to do is keep a service record yourself, what was serviced, what you did and when. A service on a saw is airfilter clean, fuel tank and filter clean, oil tank clean, spark plug change, fuel filter in carb clean and settings check (Hi Lo jets with tacho) and a general check over mounts etc
  20. Only thing you need to worry about flapping, is bingo wings at speed on a right hand turn hand signal
  21. Greedy boards are to hold in chip, there is no chip in the top rear corner. Plus you save weight cutting away bits that are not needed
