  1. Exactly as I work. Lost a couple of jobs of late, but the price I put in is the price based on my setup. To do them for any less would not have been worth doing and I would have had a negative attitude whilst doing the job. I really do not want to know what price the jobs were done for either, as that information is useless to me and my setup
  2. He told me this one was ex council?
  3. Just take the pump off and clean the crap out of the inlet side. Take the side off, the clutch off, the casing behind the clutch and you'll expose the oil pump
  4. It means some people like to read and not post Just like a book really, some people like to read books, not write them
  5. I,ve just been offered a " like new lumbermate" for £4k, probably the same machine
  6. I find the more uneven the crowns or lean of the tree the more the shake. You can hear the shake open up as you are "unloading" the tree ?
  7. I think £40 per man per hour is enough for most companies big or small. That sounds like she was spanked big time.
  8. You can be just as horny without leaving a deposit Stephen old chap Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  9. One of the problems with forums is interpreting the written word, as as been said above, a tongue in cheek comment can be easily taken the wrong way. One piece of advice I would give if you take a post in a certain way, is to read the post over again and see if you can interpret it in a more positive way. Arbtalk doesn't encourage picking someone's post to pieces, it,s here for advice and information to help people new and old the the industry. The mods don,t always pick up on bad posts be there are so many to pick through. Using the report post button helps them tremendously if you feel a post is a bit dodgy. People shouldn't be discouraged from posting because of the fear of being wrong or being brought down in flames
  10. I reckon a Libian style people's revolt
  11. I wish I was, half the uk population wouldn't know what had hit them
  12. Seen it before Drew, but could watch it over and over. It's one of those "look what I did" to the grand kids lifetime achievement things. Absolutely awesome
  13. I work 80 hours a week at least for less than £26k It makes me extremely angry to see some woman on prime time news whinging she can bring up her five kids in her smart house in london with car parked outside for any less than the £32k she receives in benefit. Perhaps keeping her legs shut and moving out of london would help
  14. Just done mine last night too, have spent around 30 hours and a near nervous breakdown. Going to either work for someone else in future or get quick books I,m beginning to wonder whether doing 80 hours a week for the same money as some office Waller on 39 hours a week is worth the hassle and stress
  15. I reckon most people are not insured or have been sold insurance that is useless to them. I am a one man band with one employee and my insurance premium is £2k, I was with NFu at around £400 previously but I wasn't,t really insured when you look at the small print. the proof was in the pudding when it came to a claim. Be very wary guys, I came through it but I could have lost everything including my house. Pay cheap at your own peril
  16. Whilst wasps can be a pain in the butt, they are also pollinaters just like bees and contribute
  17. Treequip has it covered in the link but I,ll take a pic tomorrow for you Brendon as I,m out shooting all day today.
  18. Fill your boots big boy When I said blast, I meant a light grit blast not bead blasting, just enough to matt it off so it isn,t shiny. It may be better to paint it in the long run and have one of those graphic sign writing jobbies done. Does anyone know what it costs for those fancy graphic sign writing jobs
  19. Only trouble is they have sanded the welds, which looks a little unsightly. I would prefer unpainted but will either have to either polish out the grind marks or I wondered about having it lightly sand blasted to give it a matt sheen ??
  20. The box is the same size as the old box which it coped with well when loaded up, only this box is probably half the weight of the old box. I,m thinking about painting it Dave, but can't decide what colour. I think all white will be a little bland.
  21. I also think the tailgate is a little shallow, it really needs making one plank higher. The back coming down slow today was probably due to the really cold oil, it does come down ok with weight in, will wait and see what it's like in warmer weather. The cubic capacity is 6.8 and I reckon it will weigh about 5 ton if I fill it right up I did consider barn doors but wanted to keep the cost to a minimum, looking back, it may have been a better option.
  22. Tool box is going to be built onto the front with a sloping front so it acts as a deflector. The chap who built the box told me he and his mate lifted the whole box onto the chassis it is that light. The only problem is when I tip, it comes back down very slowly and sometimes, I have to get my groundy to pull it back down. I'm hoping the tool box will add enough weight to make it drop back down better otherwise I may have to add weight here's another pic from further away, I dont think it looks too big at all
  23. I dont think aerodynamics will come into play working within a few mile radius of home
