  1. Best thing is save "us" all the cost of paying all the claims and the cost of mowing grass and let everyone mow their own bit of grass outside their house or communal area.
  2. It's a public job that needs doing for the public. If the public are happy to pay extra tax for these claims for damage to property in the undertaking of that job, that job being one that is impossible to reasonably carry out without causing damage at some point then, then there's no problem is there? Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  3. If the council operatives didn't work within 10m of property that can be damaged they would not be able to do their job. How would you strim motorway verges , shut the whole motorway? Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  4. On the other side of the coin....imagine how pee'd off the guys doing the grass work get having to strim round cars parked on the grass or with their back ends way over the curbs on the grass. Have dog muck splattered all over them constantly whilst strimming. If only Joe public was as considerate to them as they are expected to be to joe public
  5. There's some good stuff in that there wood Tom including some good trace elements. We,ll have to start having it for Sunday lunch Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  6. Spot on post Tom. It's no good rattling around the canopy if you have no idea what's going to happen when you make the cut Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  7. I thought tar was transported up the flue in the moisture vapour and the vapour condensed on the cold liner and depositing the tar. If there's no moisture in the wood the tar is burnt and not transported. But there is always moisture in wood so the less there is the less tar deposits there are, also if the liner is hot, the water vapour cannot condense Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  8. 4-500 years has been banded about I reckon older.
  9. I think it was a small plant Dave. The roadside portion of the tree was doing quite well. Out of interest, could a tpo be placed on a tree in decline ? Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  10. There was no fruiting That I noticed Dave. It's at lightridge rd, fixby, hudds. I was surprised to learn its not protected Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  11. The public sector needs a good thinning anyway, perhaps this will do the job. About a thirty percent reduction should do
  12. Yes... I got his assurances he was going to look after it. He actually said he bought the tree and the house came with it He also said Kew had been up sometime in the past to have a gander
  13. Been meaning to stop and photo this old girl for a long time, got a call to look at another tree on the property and it ended up with me looking round this for 20 minutes. Measures 24ft round and played host to a group of threeTree creepers whilst I was stood inside it.
  14. A builders bag of logs is a description you won't be prosecuted for Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  15. I've heard from three different sources that running the tyres at 95psi will cause problems. I have been running the tyres at 75 psi and it just so happens that the day before I checked the pressures and upped them to 90 psi because I was dragging the mewp on an eighty mile round trip and thought it would save fuel All the other blowouts have been when the tyres have been at 90 psi Could be what the problem is ?
  16. I had my alarm go off twice and i got to the yard in minutes, first time I was confronted by 5 blokes the second time by 4, I was on my own What I did even surprised me. Be careful, it can come very close to someone losing their life, I am having to think of another way of dealing with it Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  17. That's the ones I have seen and I'm trying to find, they look just like forktruck tyres
