  1. That might be a matter of opinion and a whole new thread
  2. Turbull: Yes it's had a complete new floor and the main ladder frame underneath. Log Dog: It's going to be sign written but going to wait till its finished and cleaned up. Pete: Toolbox is going on the front I think, might try and get it to have a slopey front to help the aerodynamics Tommer: It's not how big it is mate, its how you use it
  3. It did occur to me that Dave, lining it with thin ply. The builder said it would stand quite a bit of knocking about, but I think it will look unsightly with any dents at all, so may line it out
  4. Haha....you could be right, might need to deploy a Lofthouse anti theft device
  5. Bargain me thinks Had it done whilst away skiing this week and I'm chuffed to bits with it. Had the box built using the old tipping gear motor and ram. There is still a toolbox to build in and a clean up. Should look the dogs when sign written. I haven't weighed it off after build but we did weigh off with the old back on which was 2600kg empty. It must be a sight lighter as it is sat right up on the suspension.
  6. yes mate, the pto shaft came with it

  7. I've just been down and left him a written note for when he returns, telling him how he will be dealt with when we catch him and that we have still photo's of him
  8. Didn't take long to get a photo, just a shame it didn't cop him on his way in, It should have done. This bloke is a regular thief, I know because of his foot print pattern from his wellies. I'll keep an eye out for him now I know what he looks like
  9. It really sickens me that gang members think nothing of plunging a knife into another human being for nothing more than self gratification or pier pressure or whatever goes through their tiny little brain cell Even the act of carrying a knife
  10. I did get the police involved and they went to see the offender. His excuse was he thought the yard was the scouts yard (as the scouts in and out road encompass my land) and has he was a scout leader.........and so on.. So in the end, it would have proved difficult to prove his intent I suppose .
  11. The yard is very isolated but a lot of people pass it quite often and it,s a good 50m they have had to carry out armfuls of logs out through thick mud and a closed gate Must be very determined
  12. That time of year again when people think it is acceptable to help themselves to your seasoned split logs. I am absolutely sick to the back teeth of going down the yard and finding big holes in my log pile after I have grafted hard to build it up and over a year storing it under cover. I have put in counter measures, but I really shouldn't have to waste so much of my time and money trying to protect my livelihood. This time I am going to prosecute to the hilt when they are caught, I,m taking no prisoners. I reckon over the season, I get a minimum of £1000 worth stolen
  13. Mrs Smith phoned me this morning to ask where I was bless her
  14. Hell fire, that was one scary gust My house is called windy ridge and we are perched on top of a big hill, in 20 years of being here, that was the scariest gust I have witnessed. The whole house shook, the windows bowed at an alarming rate and the whole 30ft length of ridge just peeled off and down the roof then the soaker slates started flying all over hitting other houses and stuff, luckily no one hurt and no other property damage. I,m just hoping the wind settles to allow repair, before the slates start peeling like a deck of cards
  15. All my house has just shook and a load of ridge tiles and slate from my roof has just smashed into next doors house
  16. Sticky gloves could have been even worse stevie. If they werent fresh gloves. They are a breeding ground for bacteria, that's why scratches and stuff go red and inflamed on your hands when wearing smelly gloves. If your gloves smell, they are infested
  17. Steve,s little girl and guns ??? Not a good mix mick
  18. Oh and the draw on the stove is making it eat logs
  19. Happy new year Jon Last nights winds took my ridge tiles off and today's winds are stopping me putting them back
  20. You need to show them the lunge thread stevie and explain thatyou think they could do a better group lunge than puffy tree workers, they,d be well up for it then.
  21. Wait till you see it next Stockbridge, it'll have a right posh chicken coop on
  22. He parked like a sausage in a Car park where spaces are at a premium, so I parked fair and square in my bay . It's a car park where our shoot meets
