  1. If you burn properly seasoned wood the glass should clear itself
  2. The NFU was fully comp but Trust phone their underwriters and they came back at £500 and odd third party road use with an additional £175 for something else that I cant remember so £700 in total. any suggestions welcome
  3. Tried to insure my loader today with nfu To cut a long story short I was quoted £900 and told that if you are not into agriculture, your tractors should be insured on a commercial insurance policy if you are using them on the road or in a public area. Those with tractors that have them insured on an agri policy that are tree surgeons are not insured basically. I phoned trust who quoted a lot less but more or less said the same If I register it as agri, I can get it insured for less than £200 but when it comes to a claim I've no chance I've got headache
  4. I'm not getting into a tit for tat... and quoting exact figures, it's more than 0.6 cu/m Load a bag and try it....I have
  5. We carefully hand fill all our bags. Does your " theory " take into account material stretch. Calculators are ok if you factor in a lot of variables Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  6. I'm sorry, but I have carried out an experiment, filling a bag with support and one without. Your theory doesn't apply in practice, try it yourself. If you fill the bag with support and lift it up with the loader, the bag goes to nearly 3/4 full, it doesn't look good dropping off a 3/4 full bag to the customer
  7. Yes they are .6 if you fill them in a filling cage so they truely measure 85x85x85 The problem is.. they bulge, so the customer gets a lot more than .6 more like .8
  8. I've had the " There's someone selling bags at £30" this year. It hasn't stopped me putting mine up to £60 a bag which are selling fast. If you listened to the moans and groans you would be out of business in a week and signing on. They have no idea of the work or costs involved in producing "good quality" firewood Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  9. Then you must be too cheap Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  10. I've no idea Johnny. I can't find the exact one and it's down the yard so cant check

  11. Sounds like bandit need to get sorted then Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  12. Not good then, I just had a sudden thought that that operator they sent with it may have not been fully versed. Did you check the blades on the bandit were very sharp Theo us, that is one thing with bandits that blades have to be Razor sharp even slightly dulled affects their performance drastically Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  13. I think the demo with the bandit could be flawed by operator error, he may not have set the feed speed at it's optimum for the materiel being chipped Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  14. Cheers for that. The rep text me to ask if I wanted a demo, I was going to put the demo off till around may next year, hopefully then there'll be more feedback available. At the moment you are the only one I've found that has had experience of it. Nice one

  15. One good thing about bandits is their ability to deal with bulky stuff like ivy without having to cut it into narrow strips Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  16. So are they producing a quadchip with worrying about weight issues this 750kg issue is killing it Sent from my iPhone cos it was
  17. I'm very happy with the new one too, it's just a pain having to take the table off to get it into the container Have you consider nipping over to the east of ireland to have a demo of them all ?
  18. 15m in dark, really good distance in day

  19. The 10.5 I bought because I thought it may be better to have an engine on it so it could be run independently freeing up the tractor to shift the logs about and could be wheeled about. It turned out to be too slow and very heavy to move about on rough ground. I didn't go for the farmer because the 20t practico I sold to stevie blair was the top of the range and after the 10.5 t experience I wanted top of the range again or as near as I could get. The 20t practico was an awsome machine.
  20. I have the Thor super magik 18t. I've had it for about twelve months from new but have only just started using it, can't find fault really. Oh, yes... one fault or bad design is the 18t wont fit in my container with the table on. even when you take off the table, which is a pain in the butt, and drop the cylinder right down, it only just fits in
  21. Upward sloping feed trays also allow some grit and small stones to vibrate out should they find their way in. I'm mulling over the new Bandit 75XP
  22. that was the one, I stuck it up a tree, it was the camoflaged one

  23. I agree whole heartedly with all that Mark
  24. Sorry Mark A graveyard is a public place, it is also Hallowed ground and should be respected as such. I am not religous, I dont go to church unless I'm getting married, but I do know where to draw the line with respect No excuses here at all
  25. No....I'm sorry. I have two gundogs and have had and trained dogs to a high standard all my life. People who walk their dogs in graveyards are ignorant and disrespectful. How would you feel if your kid passed away, you went to put flowers on the grave and saw a dog owner allowing his dog to pish on your childs head stone ? Please....think about it !!
