  1. The machine is under valued, I paid £12.6K it is worth £15K They would only pay out the invoice amount not it's true value
  2. New SUBARU FORESTER 4x4 2.0 X 5dr Auto | New Cars | Auto Trader
  3. Just bear in mind 750kg maximum tow
  4. I thought you were a techno freek with your iphone
  5. Managed to scrounge a few very heavy duty 12ft x 8ft machine pallets, so lined the floor of the barn with them today, used one for a retaining front wall. Going to take every other slat out on the floor has I have done on the front one, to let air through......all for free
  6. I have the 40d and if I had been offered one at that price would be biting his hand off. The screen can be set as Viewer
  7. Have you had a claim ? Did you get the full value of the item or did the loss adjuster make his own figure up based on glasses guide. I am very bothered about leaving my Landrover in sured with them. I have put the value of my landrover at £12k because it is a 130, it's very well maintained and has a brand new engine and is a tipper, which I think is a very fair replacement value. From my experience with NFU and after talking to many others, they very rarely pay out "sum insured" and their assessors alway under value things. I wanted to insure my new CSF loader and have rung NFU and told them I have finance on the machine and it's value for that is £12600, although the machine is worth more like £15K. I asked If I took out insurance on the finance value of £12.5K and the machine was stolen, would they pay out the sum insured or make up their own figure. They said they would pay market value. I asked if they could provide me with insurance that would pay a guaranteed figure for the finance for the period of the policy, they said no. Insurance is no good to me if they do not pay the sum insured and only pay what they value the machine at over a google search or glasses guide for similar machines. As we know, glasses guides dont take into consideration that your vehicle has a £2.5K tipper back, very expensive flashing led beacons, very expensive winches attached to the front etc etc etc What are your experiences with NFU
  8. It's the brickwork Simon. If they are to use headers in the bond, they should be every 7th course or in the case of "english Bond" there should be one course of strechers then one course of headers
  9. After being inspired by Mr Bullman, I'm running an Axe throwing competition at my local country show soon, so researched target sizes and distances etc. I wanted to see how the tressle that holds the target was built so did an image search and this came up......it's just so wrong This is where H&S should apply
  10. It does exactly that. I spent quite a bit of time in holland, going out to nightclubs every weekend. I never once felt intimidated or theatened and was totally relaxed. Try saying that about going out on the town here
  11. I'd erase the whole thread steve. If people dont like seeing other peoples tree work or dont like sharing advice and ideas, why join arbtalk. ??
  12. The law is an ass when it comes to weed. Alcohol is far more damaging and the way I see it is the country could be missing out on billions of revenue because they wont legalise personal use. What they have lost on tabacco, they could gain on taxing weed. I dont use BTW
  13. I think 300 is steep just to get it on the ground. If access is very good, I'm sure you could get a fully qualified Tree surgeon and not some cash in the back pocket diy muppet, to take it down and away for not much more than 300. The hard part is the cleanup
  14. I know smokers that are very intelligent and very successful business men. They only smoke occassional and never when working. Anyone who smokes at work is simply putting his work colleagues at risk and himself. What you do in your own time is no concern of anyone elses, I personally think alcohol is 10 times worse a drug than weed Smoking and driving is as bad as drink driving
  15. I looked after one for a fortnight for my nephew. I was glad to see the back of the smelly horrible thing. Do the right thing steve, buy them a teddy instead
  16. Get some of these John They will make you tall, lean and an expert in martial arts, no-one will dare to call you gay then
  17. I shoot it, gut and butcher it, she cooks it
  18. Mine are the competition bells which are all same size whichever weight Where is your pink one...?
  19. They were a bit different to what I was expecting but I'm quite happy with them, they seem to be really good quality
  20. I particularly like the girly pink one.....and it's nice and light
  21. Altered it for you Steve, you forgot Sunday mate
  22. I think I know the plate you are talking of that is shearing off. Is it the one inside the engine bay? If it is mine has only three bolts in it. The originals will have had a collar or shoulder on them that would be an exact fit into the holes in the plate whereas the replacement one may be a sloppy fit, which puts much more forces on them.
  23. It did feel very unstable and felt as if it was about to tip before the water went in yes. But I haven't had problems with the pivot breaking. Does it just break when it tips or breaks randomly in normal operation ?
