  1. On closer inspection its a Ahwi 950, so putting a 300hp Fendt in front of is like putting a lawnmower engine in a land rover:001_smile:
  2. Thought the bigger chipper was an Ahwi
  3. 1575 mmmmmmm:sneaky2:

Will see you on the 18 mate, sort out with Richard first though:thumbup:

  4. We used to have a Hakki Pick 1X with both 3Phase electric motor and PTO option. The electric option was superb, more power and much quieter, you could also walk around the machine as there was no Tractor in the way- had to be used undercover though.
  5. Crane pics Mate?

Did you pick up the Merc Tipper of Richard when you were at the show?

  6. I am in the process of trying to do exactly the same a Mick, we have been offered a disused 3 acre poultry farm covered in rundown buildings. Went to the local planners for a chat about my plans for change of use to a woodyard, and was told no:cursing: Their concerns were the roads surrounding the site would be unable to support the increased traffic- im of the opinion that as it is already registered for agricultural use they cannot stop me, am i right or wrong?
  7. Hi mate, a bit of help required on mog issues- do you by any chance know the pto box ratios on a u1600, ie engine speed to pto speed.

    Jon

  8. Started at 15 in the school holidays now 42 so 27 years defoliating southern england!
  9. You may have the 2 big terminals on the solenoid connected the wrong way around- easy done
  10. Hiya Stevie, spoke to Richard this morning, he is very happy with your Mog although Largs to Maidstone was a fair old drive in it!

Any chance of a few pics of the FMV timber crane if you still have it, and can you load it if we came to a deal on it?

    Best Regards Jon

  11. No point in taking the cab off, tilt it up as far as you can and then attach a ratchet winch to it and use that to lower the cab even futher forward, the straight edge of the front wings(bit with indicator in) can be parallell with the ground. Undo propshaft bolts, exhaust, starter wiring, alternator and oil, temp sender wiring, heater and rad hoses, move hydraulic pump and steering pump out of way. Undo center bolt on gearchange, spool valve panel, disconnect linkages for gearbox and move to one side, undo engine mounting bolts and lift engine/PTO box out in one- simple
  12. Just use a Merc, 13 or 17 series lorry engine and swop the inlet and exhaust manifolds from the mog engine, days work for 2 chaps
  13. Turn your phone on bruv

  14. Tidy Holder there mate:001_tt1:
  15. No idea of age, shame its gone, each September we charged a rude sum of money to climb and inspect the crown for the insurance, stands only 8ft from her front door!!!
  16. It used to be 107ft high until it was struck by lightening last Thursday night, 50ft was blown clean off the top!!.The job was to clear up the fallen debris and remove the remaining top, just to make the site safe and allow the insurance assesors in.We are going to Hiab the remaining stem down in a few weeks time and will post pics of that as well.
  17. Little pruning job from yesterday!!
  18. We have one, if you have a yard with good road access, getting an o license is no problem, in fact far cheaper than the fine of an overloaded Transit:001_cool:At the moment good 7.5 tonne trucks can be brought very cheaply and dont cost much more to run than a Transit.
  19. Not really a very good idea as a 7.5 Daf tipper weights aprox 4.83 tonne empty!! giving you a load capacity of 0.67 tonnes:scared1:
  20. Iveco crewcab 35-12, a very similar vehicle, weighs 2850Kg empty, also fitted with a lightweight tipping body, so unless you have the model fitted with helium filled tyres, i doubt it weights less than 2 tonne!
  21. Wrong, they used chain driven drop boxes that bolted to the ends on standard land rover axles, have a set of four in my shed. The big problem was the chain was not up to the job and often snapped.
  22. The PTO Vermeer is actually a re-badged Farmi, not the other way around:001_smile:
  23. That very truck, very open to negotiation if youve brought from them before:001_smile:
  24. Very poor from a machinery side this year, many dealers noticibly absent this year, but the dealers that did attend were doing some great deals. On the plus side it gave us more time to catch up with friends old and new.
  25. Any Kohler agent, still will be around the £110 mark though
