  1. It was a mechanical cam action device that replaced your prussic knot, a lot like many of these new fangled things around EXCEPT! your rope was just clipped in from the side and could quite easily pop out again.
  2. Anyone remember the 'Prussic' clip, one of the most dangerous climbing accessories ever made.
  3. Only if you get found out:sneaky2:
  4. Spending all day up a tree pruning it with a bow saw, then spending all the next day up it painting the pruning cuts with Arbrex. Free climbing to the top with your 3 strand over your shoulder, tying your prussic knot whilst holding on with one leg wrapped around the stem.
  5. Thanks for all your help chaps- keep it coming:001_smile:. Got the polytunnel frame for next to nothing as the guy i brought them off gave up trying to cover them himself.
  6. Just brought 2 polytunnel frames and was looking for some advice/pointers on how to go about recovering them with plastic sheeting- how do you get the covering tight etc, and where is the best place to buy the stuff from. Thamks
  7. Our spring was too loose, they replaced it and tensioned it to factory spec- different machine now:biggrin:
  8. Try sharpening the feed rollers and checking the top roller spring tension, Jensen-Redwood did our 530t and transformed the machine.

  16. Use Saturn blades in our Jensen 530- superb blades, just ordered 2 sets for our Mog mounted 141 after the Genuine Jensen set failed:sneaky2:
  17. What about the clutch operating fork- a well known weak point on later landrovers, the fulcrum wears through the pressed steel fork.
  18. Weve built and run mog and mb trac based forwarders in the woods and they have all payed for themselves many times over. This is what we have now, took a lot of time and effort to get it to be a stable, reliable and productive machine.
  19. Service Metals, look em up on the web, really easy to do available in two widths 10cm and 20cm, just snap them togerther to form your sides
  20. Cheers Stevie i was trying to forget that fun evening we had together:blink: good to meet and put a name to a face:001_smile:
  21. Does APPRECATING not having one anymore count:001_tt2:
  22. Its cool mate:001_smile: Was a little surprised how slow the chipper was with the tractor running full chat, to the point of thinking that the same quantity could be chipped feeding one log after another into a smaller machine, after all it was only some dry softwood
  23. I dont doubt it, just happened to mention one was an Ahwi, and was rather underpowered at the show:001_smile:
  24. Yep the smaller green one was a Jenz, he was trying to sell it but cant remember how much, reasonablyt solid chippers but very HP hungry:001_smile:
