  1. Surprisingly easy depending which part of Europe, go out see its pay for it and drive it home. Make sure you have the relevant paperwork from the dealer as that will make re registering with the DVLA on uk plates so much easier- or many of the dealers already supply the uk dealers and will happily ship it over to you once you've paid for it, looked at a mint 1650 in Holland and could have it delivered to Harwich docks for less than 500. Enjoy your search:001_smile:
  2. Depends who they are- the S African customers like ash and any fruit wood, the rest take what I give them:biggrin:-were are not professional log merchants just tree surgeons looking after our clients
  3. God bless these little beauties, steady 12 builders bags every week, with a bit of a rush next week due to the predicted heatwave. Beech and ash mixed
  4. Ideal for arb waste- plenty of guys on here with a yards full of material to stuff through one- just need a bit of motivation to get the welder out
  5. Or this one [ame] [/ame]
  6. What about this one [ame] [/ame]
  7. Check the flow control knobs next to the hydraulic couplers- might be turned off
  8. Weeks work available for climber/ trainee climber starting Monday 8th June We have a weeks work available on a self employed basis for a climber or trainee climber near Stokenchuch, must have own transport- large trees to deadwood but no rush or pressure to get them done so a perfect chance for a payed play for a week- must have own ppe and climbing kit, will be working alongside my staff- we can supply saws Pm me for further details Jon
  9. My mates old tractor- put a new engine in that 5-6 years ago- crane was set up to run a stroke processor with all the extra pumps fitted to rear of the tractor for the drive trailer motors. Lost count of the times the front hubs were rebuilt. Nice crane to use on swing out joysticks in the cab and the crane can be moved forwards on the roof mount
  10. Thank you Briquette S for the quick response, both the ex28 and ex38 ive seen in the dealers yard are fixed base, the cabs are about 18 inches higher than a standard mini excavator, it's good to hear from an operator that this isn't an issue, felt a very roomy cab as all the controls are on the sticks rather than cluttering up the floor. Just need to demo one then negotiate
  11. Just been over the the quote the ez28 is £20500 plus vat and the ez38 is £28900 plus vat, didn't realise they quoted on the bigger one also- hope there is a deal to be done on the 38. Almost looks to me if the machine has been designed for our work, one question to briquette, is the machine stable with the higher cab.? Jon
  12. Hi Eddie, thank you for taking the time to repy, think you've made up my mind for me the 3.4t is a more substantial machine and they have a longer dipper model in stock too:001_smile: Jon
  13. Had a look at one in the flesh today, torn between the 2.8t and the 3.4t- transport is not an issue has have a 10t truck. The boom and bucket pins are certainty of a meaty design, the 2 sets of proportional hydraulics on the sticks seem much nicer to use than my old rocker foot pedal . We do a reasonable amount of brash raking on slopes so levelling the cab combined with a tilt rake should make a nice working environment - cab looked easy to guard up too. Been quoted less than 21k plus vat for the 2.8t with all the extras including 3 buckets on a Klac hitch, offered me 11.5 for the KX61 with 1700hrs, kubota wanted nearly 5k to put one extra service on my machine- seems a no brainier to me:001_smile:
  14. Did not realise CAT re badged them- have a demo booked next week on the 2.8t model- cab is quite spacious for a zero swing machine with very little complicated electronics to give issues. Do a lot of work on an estate in Oxfordshire and everything is on a slope so would be nice to be sat upright instead of having your tea slopping out of the cup holder:laugh1:
  15. Interested in people's opinions on the Whacker Neuson excavator, tilting base and 3 additional sevices on the boom tick a lot of boxes for me, also the deal on PX with my Kubota is very hard to resist
  16. Here's our machine, fitted with an RSL grab, superb bit of kit that gets used almost daily at the moment
  17. Southern sheeting supplies, Turners Hill, Sheet loads in stock:001_tongue:
  18. Oops- priced a 3 cylinder Hatz engine for a chipper last week, it was nearly 7k before the vat- problem with used is no known history Good luck
  19. Don't quote my on this but I was led to believe this tractor was in its last legs when the southern chap sold it to buy a far better example from abroad
  20. Cornus kousa
  21. Oops missing a picture
  22. HB 20 in action at the top of a very steep bank- two other grinders failed to climb the bank in the last photo you can just see the skid marks as they tried to climb it. Client agreed to a days money as she wanted the stumps gone at any cost
  23. Any pics of the wife mate- I might be interested:lol:
  24. Last Friday a friends yard in Godalming was broken into, a stump grinder and trailer were taken. They came back again on Wednesday night but were spooked by the security system, cameras picked up between 5 and 7 of them all wearing hoodies.
  25. Here she is grinding one of 5 oak stumps on a building site, all of similar size. Also did a Douglas stump also of a similar size and half a Beech stump started by another contractor with their brand new Carlton grinder that broke down- 2 men all done in one day with a touch up of the cutters after every 2 stumps- tidy sum earnt that day:001_smile:
