  2. I have to say that’s the neatest way I've seen of extending the bridge, and a big bonus point is you can pretty much do it one handed.

    I have a Leatherman Wave, Surge and Micra and a Gerber Legend 800. I must say I like the Leatherman more and have to stop myself buying new ones.

    Have you had a look at the Hitch Climber, same style of climbing as a Lockjack but no where near the cost.

  9. I had a TP200 on a single axle (no turntable/side feed) for abour 18 months, one of the best chippers i've ever had.

    Tree Radar

    Thanks for that Lee, I had a chat with Ian from Sorbus this afternoon (Sorbus have split from Fujikura, think Vince still works for Fujikura). Treeradar was desigined for scanning trunks and roots, but Ian tells me that compared to the Picus it's not a reliable at detecting decay in trunks. But it is still an excellent tool for scanning roots. Ian told me that it was designed in America and works alot better on there trees, seems odd to me but I'll take his word for it.

    Could you elaborate on that a bit more Lee, which ones more accurate? I like the fact you can scan roots with the Treeradar.

    I have been looking at purchasing a Picus Sonic Tomograph (even had a demo). But now i have found out about the Treeradar. Does anyone have any experience with this? Many thanks for your help.

  17. I've done that run a few times, must say at the right time of year it looks wonderful.
  18. I can recommend this book, once i picked it up i didnt want to put it down.

  24. If you attatched the sling to your cambium saver wouldnt it be possible to retrieve the whole lot from the ground?
