  1. Haha. Crash, bang, whallop, job done. They must have done it for the wood as no one got paid! How can they pay 18 blokes out of 3 truck loads of poplar..? Haha!
  2. Arran, I thought you were not long out off college? Have you started up on your own then? On another note, after you finished your work climb did a fella shout Aaron and mistakingly you said yes? If so that was me...
  3. Thatll be alright then... Haha. Still wouldn't cat h me doing much more than an oil change or something similar.
  4. Excellent stuff. BBC News - NeverSeconds school dinner blog donations soar
  5. Easy to say when you haven't got 40k's worth of bits in front of you. Personally, I would have someone who knows what they are doing have a crack. I am all thumbs when it comes to anything more than basic mechanics.
  6. Cheers Gareth.
  7. Gareth did you rig the brash off the stem first or use the crane to remove the green bits? Nice job.
  8. A couple of pics of a dead Sweet Chestnut removal a couple of weeks ago. Didn't fit to fell so I cut the top off and flopped the butt!
  9. Matty, I can climb or be there for backup if you want... As I said I just gotta get the card marked by the missus. Would be a pleasure to help if I can.
  10. Matty, I need to speak to my missus about that weekend but I do need to drop a saw at spuds. I could give you a hand and kill two birds with one, so to speak. I could give you a hand if I get my card marked.
  11. Haha... A side smoking plank. Quality!
  12. Give over mate... Are you whiter than white? You sure make out you are from your post.
  13. Adam, are you going to explain how the force exerted on the initial anchor (the one the floating pulley is over) is multiplied? Edit your typing quickly!!! I mean pics 3 and 4 in the last post but one.
  14. Cheers Rupe, all clear now.
  15. I have chopped up a street tree with a silky before. I didn't have a chainsaw in the truck but it was only a Rowan so the Sugoi it was. It was quite funny, about 7 or 8 kids redirecting traffic whilst on their way he from school... Haha. The tree was about 15 metres from Fr Jones' old shop.
  16. I was going to write similar Rupe. You put it a lot more eloquently than me though. Do you just pretension the GRCS to take any excess stretch out or do you keep cranking as it goes over?
  17. Haakon loves the woods. Loads Places to run and scramble about. He had a few woodland tasks from school. So whenever they do woodland stuff at school we pop up the woods and he educates me... Haha. As for the sssi status, I am not sure. It is in Greenwich borough so there might be something on their website.
  18. David, the site is Oxleas woodland. The skateboard was already there. It's about 4 miles from my house.
  19. A couple of shots from last weekend.
  20. Cheers Tony. It was about 12 inches across. I have started looking a bit more up the woods as me and Haakon forage. I seem to notice them more on damp days, not sure why though? Couldn't miss that one though! Beautiful colour. Listen to me, I sound like a right bloody hippie!
  21. Try to go Thaiboxing when I have the time and energy. As much snowboarding in the winter as I can get in. Both seem to be getting less and less though as a 5 year and 1 year old boys take up most of the rest of my spare time.
  22. I went for a walk in Oxleas woods, nr Shooters Hill last weekend. Spotted this on a fallen trunk. Did think of picking it as I have never cooked with it before but it was on a popular dog walkers route. It was also at a convenient height for most breeds so thought best to leave it...
  23. I agree on the loading issues by had to disagree on the driveway comments. I have worked for quite a number of companies running o license vehicles. I reckon I can count on one hand the number of times we couldn't get them onto the driveways. You would not have bee able to get a transit sized vehicle on there either. One guy even had the 7.5t'er body narrowed to fit 7' width restrictions. Was a great drive aswell around London.
  24. I think I might order a wee metre aswell. Hadders, I went to bandqit but got confused. Man, they sell loads of different wire in there. Which is the one you got?
