  1. I tried that at an old flat of mine. Didn't really help as there were still loads of spiders. A couple of the bigger ones even kept us awak at night with their conked playing antics.
  2. BBC NEWS | Science & Environment | UK's 'most venomous' spider
  3. This thread is very pontytailist. I bet the majority of the derogatory comments are from slap heads! Jealousy. Jealousy. Haha, you folliclely challenged people.
  4. Make him an offer Mark... Some good wood there.
  5. I saw one in a garden last week during a conifer takedown.
  6. Haha. I can just see tony d bartdryad. :001_tt2:

  8. The job was so good you had to post twice See you on Wednesday Silky. Mick is gonna sent over my moby number so if you have any problems the let me know.
  9. I wear mine tied up in a bun. The only time it really get let loose is on the beach... Cant say I have measured it though but it is pretty curly and tends to matt up quite quickly.
  10. Bloody Hippy! Do you not find it gets in the way?
  11. A couple of crusty tag nuts, maybe the odd dangleberry and a winnet or two?
  12. It is on your self assessment tax return.
  13. We were practicing AR this morning. After an inspection of a tree, the boss asked me to go back up for his groundie to rescue me. I thought I would save a bit of effort and put the rw and pantin on and tied the super cooper for the ascent. It was terrible in the combination I used it in. Possible due to a bit of memory in the hitch cord. When I was at the top, I got them to unclip my baseal tie off and climbed the tree dbrt. Still sticky and not smooth, so I swapped back to a VT for the last climb. As I said, an old, used bit of cord. Gonna try it out with a new piece of cord sometime.
  14. I tried it today as my regular vt is a bit slick for the rw. Tied with the same cord and it was useless. I think I need to try it with some new cord though before final judgement is made. I quickly went back to a vt.
  15. I know its traditional but the stupidity of some people astounds me.
  16. Is it the company you are now with Josh? Or the old one tryi g to fill your vacancy?
  17. It isnt a Fiskars but I won this splitting axe at the FR Jonses show. Put it to good use on fat oak the other day to make it easier to handball out of the garden and I can say it was excellent. First impressions great, time will tell on durability.
  18. Send the man an email then. Good luck finding someone Mike.
  19. i did a few trees last year. about 25 foot from the track. Network rail just sent a couple of guys with PTS down and schedules some veg management for them up the line. The 2 guys just blew a hooter to let us know of an approaching train. they even asked how I was going to get stuff back to the private land. I said to rig it their answer was knock it this way we have saws in the van... Jobs a goodun' By the sounds of it though yours sounds a bit closer.
  20. Just file it properly, make sure the depth of the cutter is even both sides aswell as the length. Also make sure the depth gages are files correctly. Slight erros in any of the above is accentuated with bigger bars. As for the chainbreak issue, see what the dealer says. I think they would only sell yo a new chain though to fix the banana cuts.
  21. Well I stand corrected I have been after a pair of the 3m lexa glasses. but can only find stockist in clear and not smoked lenses in the UK.
  22. Because they are trying it on mate. A lot of people wouldn't question the increase. You did and they wound their neck in and played the game. Trust did it to me to the tune of nearly 400 quid. Droped the renewal price by approx 400 notes when I told them I had a cheaper quote.
  23. Stihl safety glasses. I have some old Arnette, a pair of Von Zipper and a pair of Dragon Optics. All quality glasses but a bit to expensive. You cant beat the stihls for about 8 quid.
  24. Imagine the uproar on http://www.guttertalk.co.uk Edit: if you click the link you will see that the server has crashed and you cannot get to the site. This is due to the number of posters on an otherwise quiet forum, complaining about gardeners knicking their jobs.
  25. I am sure you'll give it a comprehensive work out whilst demonstrating the handful of cuts during the assessment.
