  2. Removal of two ash tree showing signed of die back. nice place to work by the river and thankfully the Kommune tree officer in charge granted removal even though it was a protected nature area. Easy enough work, a bit muddy and the tracked chipper didn’t get stuck 😜
  3. Nice climbing. Where are the trees and what language are you speaking?

  12. The latter. If I had throw lined it I would still have had to climb through the curtains or I would have been a metre away from the stem.
  13. Should have said a grown man’s arms and not the noodles you’re carrying πŸ€ͺ
  14. Was a PITA. At least the first 10 metres was. Branches as thick as your arm growing down over the trunk before growing outward. It was like cutting from beneath a very wooden curtain. had worse though.
  15. Decent sized Spruce removal. Easy enough but a hairy bugger.

  20. PG Tips. After a days work and 1.5 hours in the woods with the dog, a cup of the finest. If it is good enough for the monkeys then it’s good enough for me.

  22. Same here Mick. i will take Kira more in the winter than summer. Summers are li g and hot and I would prefer her to be home in her pen with the air con down pretty low than have her cooking in the truck.
  23. I’ve just decided to remove the cage and fashioned something similar, but with more space in the work truck. This week she will be with me most days as the missus is busy. Tried it for size but she seemed a bit apprehensive. It also means I have more space for kit when she isn’t with me instead of the big old cage in there.
  24. I would agree with the above. I grew up with dogs. Wanted one for most of my adult life. 20 years living in London I said β€˜not yet’. Moved to Norway in 2017. Decided to get a dog. We were renting, β€˜not yet’. Bought a house that needed a bit of work β€˜not yet’, wait till the building work is complete. Researched the breed and met a few of them in the last few years then finally got hold of a decent breeder, not a puppy mill. Took another 2 years for the pups to arrive. It was the right time for me/us. Pretty stable home environment and a good area to be. Local access to woods and hiking area (hunting during the season) and a family that love the out doors. Soon there will be snow. That is when my dog comes alive. It takes a bit of restraint to say no when you want a dog but if you are the responsible owner that you think you are, you will know when the time is right.
  25. Make the cage a positive space. Put the pup in there for naps, after their dinner, during your dinner, after play etc. dogs respond better IMO to routine. The main thing is not to put the dog in there as a punishment. When we used to leave the house, we had one of the Kongs. We would take some of her food and but it in water for a few seconds to soften, then stuff the Kong and freeze it. When we went out we would put the Kong in the cage and by the time she had finished it she had forgotten we had left. Build up the time she is alone. The first pic, she looks a bit pissed. I guess it was baptism of fire as we had to drive back 7 hours from the south of Norway after picking her up.
