  1. Utter rubbish!!!!!! I would say Husky for softwoods, Stihl for hardwoods.
  2. I HATE pegs, whats wrong with spikes? Spikes mean you have a foot hold where ever you need one!, not making do with a peg where there is one. If you get used to using pegs what to you do on a very clean stem with no pegs? If you then use you spikes you will lack experience. Pegs also lead to scruffy timber which I also dislike, or if you cut them of you end up with lots of little chunks which are hard to chip. I really struggle to think of anything good about pegs.
  3. You scruffy bugger!! We even remove litter that has tangled itself into the brash.
  4. Very true! Too many try to blame others for their own failings.
  5. I don't know how any one can make a harness last 10 years, I think I'm doing well if I get 4 years out of one, my Skylotec is less than 12 months old and is already starting to show some wear.
  6. Ah! you have given a much fuller account of what happened, sounds like you made the right call.
  7. Just change the oil and filter annually, I think.
  8. I'm very confused now You have an experienced crew, with one new starter who you all know is not up to scratch, you leave site, when you return none of the crew have stopped him from doing something stupid or even know he's done it????
  9. I'm no expert, but I would say grey suggests water in the oil.
  10. Burns very well I believe, spits a lot so needs to be in a stove, not an open fire. Would have thought if would have been worth much more to the furniture men though.
  11. I think the best thing we can do is if every one who is interested in coming could say so, and then we can haggle about where and when. Sounds like there are plenty up for it so should be a good night
  12. I agree! Which is why I would have got shut sooner, as you make it clear HE NEEDED supervising.
  13. Is this of any use to Ed or Bob ?? Any thoughts Peter ?
  14. Well sounds like that your problem right there.
  15. Sounds good to me Sean, what do others think ?????????
  16. The amount of time teachers "actually" spend teaching, with all the holidays, short days etc, I fail to see how he could be exposed to much. How does a full time joiner possible survive?
  17. True, But I took my lot to the Zoo this summer, seemed like a long way
  18. What so someone mowing their grass, ridding off road, motor boat,etc,etc........should pay for roads?????????????/
