Having watched people on benefits justify £40 per week on fags and beer, when they cannot pay the rent that keeps the roof over their children's heads, I'm not convinced all those attending food banks actually need them. I fear its a case of "if you build it, they will come".

Many of these scumbags are very good at what they do. When you are straight honest person its very difficult to think like a crook and protect your gear 24/7. I had 2 saws and some hedge cutters go from a garden we were working in.

This debate comes up every year and always reminds me of a farm we went to when I first started on line clearance 20+ years ago. The farm was called Plane Tree Farm. We asked why the name and the lady of the house said it was named after the Plane tree and pointed at a large Ash. We pointed out it was an Ash, not a Plane. No, no, we were wrong, it was definitely a Plane tree, as in the spring when all the other trees were in leaf, it was plane and come autumn when all the other trees still had their leaves, it lost its early and became plane again

Round here the Oak is a little ahead of the Ash, but I can find both that are out and both that aren't.

Thats not a sound analogy. There are many countries that have Sharia Law now, I think you are confusing ISIS with Sharia Law, they are not the same.
