  1. A very BIG THANKYOU too Treeworker!!!!!!!!!!!:001_tt1:
  2. The carbon from the tree is from what 60/80 years ago, the carbon from the diesel in your chipper is from millions of years ago. If you chip the tree, as the chip rots it will release the carbon any way. Leave the oil in the ground and the carbon will stay there. They are right.
  3. Fat people and smoker used to annoy me, as I thought that they were a burden on the NHS. There was a program on radio 4 that looked into this, it turns out the biggest burden is the elderly, so if plenty of folk over eat and smoke them selfs to death, its better for the clean living, as when we get old there will be less of use to care for!! So when you see a fatty buy them a pie!!
  4. I think spiking up them will be real easy.
  5. If you talk down your manhood like that you will struggle to get custom!!
  6. He may have owed 61million Still should have paid on time!!
  7. More like, "Won't get rich, but may die trying"
  8. First you need to find a lonely lady called Storm who is willing too pay!! Big ask, IMHO.
  9. Crabs and hitch climber arrived today, many, many thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I always put a drop more oil in the fuel for the first few tanks.
  11. I have free insurance from Orange, when I wreck mine they send me a new one.
  12. I always tell the house holder they will have to pay on completion and the claim their money back off their insurer. Last big blow brought me three weeks work.
  13. David, if its your saw and you are using it then its fine, all power tools must meet the standards at the time of manufacture. If you asked an employee to use it that would be a different story, duty of care and all that. The new regs that came in for chippers in 2000, were very unusual in that they were retrospective, ALL chippers used in business must comply with these regs, regardless of date of manufacture. I used to run a 1978 020 with no chain break, had a HSE inspection and as it was my saw and I was using it, no problem.
  14. VERY dangerous to "shock load" a crane.
  15. I think if you were employed, and had a tight fisted employer you would be very grateful for the input of an independent assessor on the safety of your kit.
  16. Truly awesome, when both engines fail they loose hydraulics, so getting the flaps right is VERY difficult. The pilot was an ex fighter pilot , I believe which may well have helped. He apparently walked the isle twice too check all were off!! Top man!!

  21. I think in answer too to the question, if you think complying with the law is essential, then yes LOLER is essential. I believe it has been law for around 9 years now.
