  4. As Buzz says, I always fasten the Velcro together too stop the dust getting on them. Only had mine about 3/4 months, but OK so far.
  5. When I had that problem with my Schlesinger (sp) it was the spool block, new one from Schlesinger was £550+VAT, got a paten one for £150+VAT, little bit of fabrication, works perfect.

  7. Have you done much burning? IMO its way quicker and easier.
  8. You must remember that the carbon in the wood is going to be released any way, when it rots the carbon is released . So you may as well burn it and just speed things up, by chipping you are get 2 lots of carbon.

  15. I really don't understand this It is and has alway been perfectly legal too burn stuff on the site on which it has been produced. You can't, during the cause of your business, create "dark smoke", cause a nuisance, of burn plastic and crap. You also cannot move material too a different site and burn it, I believe.

  18. No doubt it was fracture pruning for habitat. If you start carting the chip around you are burning more carbon again.
  19. My LA are happy for me too burn, had a huge fire on one of their jobs.
  20. Does the engine on your chipper not get hot? The ash left from the fire is also full of nutrients.
