  1. That is so true!!!!!!!!!! I think your far better with a GOOD cutter who is new to climbing, than a GOOD climber who is new to cutting!!
  2. Probably not, as I was the same.
  3. Don't you think all the films you mention take much of their inspiration from the Bible?? The good v evil, Messianic figure, etc. Its in so many films and books.
  4. I think you will be blown away mate!! I was!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Absolutely!!! But as far as I know he is the only one to start a thread about it, thats why I mentioned him
  6. Went to see it this afternoon, with my wife and two sons. Its the best film I have ever seen, the computer graphics have to be seen to be believed!!!!!!! Hama I think you will like it, the story line has a lot in common with some of your thinking on all nature being connected. I would highly recommend it to any one and I think I will go see it again real soon, which is something never do.
  7. You won't need to shoot the rabbit, just point that at the rabbit, then go collect your COOKED rabbit!!!!!!!
  8. At least she said "sometime":001_smile: Wait till you've been married for 20 years, like me!!
  9. Could not agree more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't really hold my self responsible in any way, it was a flippant comment really. As you say we should be able to just get on with life, without having to try and think like a criminal and come up with ways of thwarting the scum!!!
  10. No. I was referring to his "bark" scaring him off, not the sight of him, it was dark mate.
  11. When I was a boy the father of a girl who live in the save valley as me and caught the same school bus, was working under his Range Rover, the jack failed and it rested on his chest killing him. At the time I could think of no worse way to die, suffocating and without any breath in you lungs to call for help. Lets all NEVER work under an unproped tipper body, or any other situation where you could be crushed, axle stands or large logs under a jacked up vehicle only takes a few minuets to install.
  12. Thats what made me change to a unimog.
  13. It generally agreed that a chipper will reduce volume by around 8 to 1, for un mashed down brash, so if for mashed down brash we say 2or3 to 1, you can see the HUGE potential for over loading with chip.
  14. I think people misunderstand me, my dog is basically an alarm, its the NOISE a dog makes thats the important thing, he alerts me to the presence of an intruder and lets them now that we now their there.
  15. Very true Dean, but I ain't stopping out in the cold all night:blushing: No point having a dog and barking your self!!!
  16. Yes, I had a labour only casual worker, subie, self employed individual (call them what you wish) He was doing the odd day for me, he climbed over a 4ft fence (was not asked too) and broke his leg. 4 months later I got a letter form a "no win no fee" firm. My insurers fought it. Ended up being settled as 60% my fault 40% his. Cost my insurer £18K, £8K costs, £10K for him, mostly loss of earnings, he was in a pot for months.
  17. Don't follow you?? You start by saying "court case found a company liable" BUT end by saying the freelancer was responsible?????
  18. :confused1:You are 38, have been a "big time climber 7 days a week for 22 years", so must have started "big time climbing" at 16. Where you a freelance photographer at school???????
  19. If they sub the job to you, YOU go when YOU want and are in charge of the site while you are there, then yes you could be liable for any damage. If you go onto there site and work with them at a time of their choosing, they are liable. PL insurance is NOT and NEVER has been a legal requirement. Its strange you've been in the industry for 22 years and don't know that. EL is legally require.
  20. Are you really working within the industry???????? As you seem to often stray into the ream of fiction???
