  1. But items kept in the dark don't seem deteriorate at all, IME.
  2. If say it is so Bob, I will believe you, but how texstiles can deteriate in a box is beyond me:confused1: As you know I am lucky if I get 2 years out of a harness, so it won't really affect me, just seems daft to me
  3. Andy I think we are making all this too complicated. As I understand things, our equipment has only to be inspected by "a competent person" with no vested interest in the condition of the equipment. I would really like to see the "legislation" that says a 10 year old unused harness, kept in a box, can be condemned. The reason most assessors condemn things based on age is to cover their own back side, IMHO.
  4. :confused1:So an item can become unfit for use in the box ?? Thats just crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I was in no way suggesting you were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO old!!! But halogen bulbs are MUCH brighter than older ordinary bulbs
  6. EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not "rage against the machine", more like MORE cash for the machine!!!
  7. Bare in mind that head lights are much brighter than they were when you were 17.
  8. I have professional pride, which means I stick to my word!! What would there be to afraid of??? a BIG SCARY NO??????
  9. My wife has a fear of moths, when were they ever dangerous?? I have NO irrational fears, so where do I fit in????????? One of Darwin's best know finds relates to moths and flowers, can't recall the specifics and can't be arsed to look it up but basically the flower wants the moth to pick up pollen as it gets nectar, the moth wants to get nectar without getting covered in pollen. The flower gets deeper and deeper and the moth gets a longer and longer tongue. There was a flower that was 11" deep and Darwin said there WOULD be a moth with an 11" tongue, people laughed, after his death the moth with the 11" tongue was found. If your theory was correct, there would be no point in this completion, they would both happily help each other.
  10. Where they trapped under it?? Or was it just blocking their drive???
  11. I was always told adding petrol was one way. Have you asked your fuel suppler?? or Alex's ???
  12. For sure!!!!! I kept saying to Todd my groundie "I wish I could bottle the heat from this fire!!!!!!"

  15. If its an older mog Stevie, it will have the little glass jar filter. Its only the newer ones that have a plastic one.
  16. Very nice of you!! All the very best to yourself!!!!
  17. Mark is it OK from a legal point of view for me to run my front tyres in the opposite direction?? My tyres have an arrow on them indicating the direction they should rotate.
  18. I think it is YOU who needs to listen Unlicensed guns are illegal, it does not stop "criminals" from using them. Speeding is an offense, bit it still goes on ALL the time. What is the point of unenforced legislation???????????????????? PLUS, I am still waiting for a GOOD argument for making tree work government controlled!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. No disrespect, BUT if you HAVE to work in THAT your not charging enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Few pic's from two Beeches we felled and burnt, access was very poor so we burnt the lot. Included a felling cut, as I know people love too find fault
  21. I believe he was acting in a reasonable manor, given what this piece of filth had done!!! If he had killed him he would have done us all a favor. I feel sick to my stomach that OUR society will put a man behind bars for protecting his family. A suspended sentence would have been fine, if he is a "violent man" he will commit some other offense and at that point this sentence could come in. A do not believe he is a "violent man", I believe he is a family man who was pushed too far!!!!!
