  1. No one wants to pay for the call
  2. I'm not sure that makes sense. Most of us now agree that the world is round (a globe for the pedants) the fact that there are very few flat earth believers does not reduce the numbers who believe in a round earth. Atheists just don't believe in a grand greater of any sort, its not an "anti" thing its just choice to look at fact rather than some belief structure.
  3. I'd be inclined to buy in some Larch and then get a guy in with a mill for a day.
  4. The 200+hp mogs only have the cab lifted by around 4". There are 4 block mounts that go between the cab and chassis. The intercoolers are iether in front of the radiator (standard grill) or centrilised at the front (none standard grill) Some cabs have greater head room.
  5. Its clear you live in the posh end of the country, we never have clients with 30' gardens
  6. I have only started using the sticky type gloves in the last couple of years, before that I never wore gloves at all. I really like them, they are great for climbing and I like the fact that they keep my hands warmer which must help with "white finger". However I have had far more wrist injury's while using them than I ever had before. The fact that they increase your grip must increase the forces your wrist has to cope with. Its mainly when handling bits of cord wood that I get injury's. Our ankles grow strong enough to cope with our wearing shoes, so I'm hopping that in time my wrists will adapt and I will get less sprains and tweaks. Any one else had similar??
  7. IME the NFU are the best insurer around, they pay out quick and are fair. I'm sure they are not perfect, but they are the best of the lot IME.
  8. I think your moisture meter is wrong (or your not splitting a log and taking the reading from the middle) OR your being stitched up by your courier. Theres no way on earth that a loose m3 bag of dry logs should weigh that much.
  9. You still have a single tail and are pulling on the line with your hands, so I would think you need the same rope characteristics for both.
  10. I'm really pleased that people are getting out there and putting a stop to some of this!!! It's restored my faith in my country no end!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I think thats a pretty poor excuse they are using. The copper who is being charged with manslaughter hit a guy on his way home from work with a baton and then pushed him over, his hands were in his pockets at the time. This was the fifth incident of this sort he had been involved in that day. IMV he is a thug in a uniform. Another copper brayed a woman who was screaming at him, he was exonerated. So I think its not one sided and the police are given the benefit of the doubt when its needed. As the police keep saying every thing is being filmed, so the police are safe to behave appropriately. There is no excuse for the police just standing by and watching!!!
  12. Yes apparently they do. I'm sure I read on one of my policy's that they don't, but a spokesman for the insurance company's said today on radio4 that they do play out. SNAP!!!
  13. If I felt the need to prove wrong any false allegation that came my way I'd feel pretty pathetic to be honest. If someone wants to accuse me of something good luck to them, I ain't going to waste my time proving to others what I now is true. But then people opinions of me have never really been top of my priority list.
  14. I'm the same. I think so long as you don't need a drink to relax, your fine. I could live with out drink no problem, but I enjoy it so I have it.
  15. Please fell free to post pic's of your fascinating tree work for us all to enjoy
  16. I was editing the quote in your post, not you.
  17. I had to do them all separately, which is not really what I want to be doing on a Sunday evening.
  18. Can people please stop the childish name calling. Forum rules clearly forbid personal attacks or "flaming"
  19. :confused1:Why do you eat it mate??????
