I've been doing tree work full time for 18 years and my hearing is still perfect, in fact I often hear things that my wife and children miss. I do always wear muffs and have used PTO chippers more that tow behinds, I think tow behinds are much noisier.

Yes, but unless you have the parts it will be quite expensive.

I do Quad bikes, rock climbing, swimming, tractors, skateboards, etc,etc,etc, are all dangerous, but life is full of risks. I used a saw for years before I took an assessment and have never had any training. I really hate red tape and legislation, in reality its a money making racket for people who would sooner not do real work. I like a simple life

Yes you do. But like a gun, in a car you are mostly putting others in more danger than yourself. In reality chainsaw cause very few injuries and death when compared to roads.

Of cause damaged dogs need treating with great care and compassion. But IME it works well with normal puppies and kittens.

To compare saws with guns is utter nonsense. With a gun its mostly other people that are at risk, with saws its normally the operator. HUGE difference.
