  1. But thats not impartial, they could just as easily put a disclaimer on their list stating its the householders responsibility to check that the Co's have insurance etc. I recon the council could be sued for only allowing AAAC's on their list, its not a legal requirement and to make people join what is basically a "club" in order to be on the list is just plain wrong IMO. There will be plenty of firms who have every thing in order, but feel no need to join the club and there will be plenty in the club who are cutting corners, just not on assessment day
  2. I was asking how only using AAAC's was impartial, hence my quote
  3. How does a AAAC list indemnify the council?? A list is a list, are you saying AAAC's never have any problems??
  4. So how do they know who to send the tender to????
  5. RHD's are all like that, its because the gearbox is so far away from the RH side of the cab, thats why they only have 2 seats, not 3.
  6. Tall tree. Not sure the "Elite" in the Co's name is justified.
  7. Reading the stuff off your website would you not be better with a LHD, with three man cab???
  8. If the trees are subject to a woodland TPO that could explain it, but as you say the FC would be a better way to go, as a FL overrides TPO's.
  9. Thats a very nice looking Mog!!!!!!
  10. Just get the customer to sign a statement saying they had not received them.
  11. So long as you know what your doing and why your doing it you'll be fine.
  12. Just a thought, had the papers been served on the client??? The TPO does not come into force until the land owner has been served with the papers. I had one a few weeks ago where I had 2 of the 3 trees down before the papers were served, no offence committed.
  13. If you want to sell, please put it on Arbtrader.
  14. Did you tell them your intentions??? If you just ask about the address and not specific trees, also when asked about extent of works, crown lift tend to go down well , its surprising how many customers decide they'd prefer a remove once work commences
  15. I go into the Town hall and ask to see the TPO map, its a public document that they have to give you access to.
  16. I was using the term "used" to mean not new
  17. Does any new item come with a LOLER cert?? I thought LOLER was about inspecting used equipment.
  18. If its just the water jacket what are the stresses??? Most moden engines are alloy, so the stresses can't be that great. Many steam boilers are brazed and they has some serious pressure.
