  1. Really makes me laugh when those without Disco's say how rubbish they are, if they are so poor why are they the biggest selling 4x4 on the market????? and why do so many owners replace them with another??????
  2. The OP asked for PM's, do you really expect the person offering work to ring you?????????????????
  3. Maybe it was a machine that was acquired with grant funding.
  4. Was it not a "sold as seen" sale???? If I were you I'd be saying, sorry, the deals been done. People can only wast your time if you allow them too.
  5. Thats outstanding value and in these tough times just what is needed, result!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. I do those already, although no one can work on mine not even me
  7. No problem here with safari on Mac.
  8. TBH, I think life back then was very hard a cruel.
  9. Was it fair? YES. Was it kind and loving, maybe not. Would I ask a question like that?? NO. Come on if you want to work on the railway you need to find a Co that will offer you rail work, its not like you can just go work on the railway. And surely any Co thats thinking of giving you work will tell you what they require. So really John was was right, but sometimes its better to bite your tongue and not say the truth, but sometimes we all just blurt out what we think. But its not always a bad thing to hear the pure unvarnished truth.
  10. Rubbish, this forum is just as friendly and helpful as it has ever been. You have been a member for 9 month and made 25 posts , a forum is very much like life, the amount you get out is directly equatable with what you put in
  11. I've had mine for 5 years and not had any major issues, the worst thing I've had was a new steering rack.
  12. Yes they are the heaviest motor landy have ever built!!!!
  13. Got to say I prefer your Range Rover very nice mate
  14. Do these have modern traction control??? My Disco3 has road tyres, but the traction control makes it surprisingly good off road and in snow.
  15. I have a Disco3 and a mate of mine who is a mechanic told me something the other day that I found hard to believe!!!!!!!!!!! Did you know that its not posable to remove the engine without taking the body off he chassis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was telling me about a guy who had a 09 plate Disco4 that had an engine fault, the dealer fitted one new injector £1200!!, the problem was still there so they suggested fitting a new set of injectors which would cost £7K or a new engine for £15K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The owner decided to trade it in for a new one. A guy bought the trade in and spent a week removing the body, stripped the engine, turned out it was a broken valve spring, change the spring and refitted the body. How crazy is it to build a car where the engine cannot be removed with relative ease??????????????????????????????
  16. That question suggests you don't have the experience they are looking for.
  17. In all honesty I'm not sure you will miss it that much, you had the chipper on the back so only used it as a chipping truck, if you had had a timber trailer and crane it would be very difficult to go back to cutting up and hand balling timber. Things have been very quiet for me recently, I've wondered if I should consider down sizing, but the thought of going back to slicing and dicing timber makes me shudder. Fortunately my over heads are not too high and I will very soon have no finance at all, so I'm hoping to get through this down turn without parting with my gear.
  18. Earlier it was 4 days per month quoting, now it's 8. You make your current situation sound appalling, I can't understand why you've put up with it at all?? And why you need a thread to change this disastrous situation??
  19. Yes its defiantly canceled, there are other threads where its been confirmed.
