  1. I think its to do with the fact thats not likely to be other around, as there would be in a more urban environment.
  2. I guess it only becomes an issue once they decide its an issue and then they want it sorted. I try not to focus on when they call, but be grateful that its me they called. Easier said than done I know.
  3. Do you drink your morning tea after you have cleaned your teeth?
  4. Unless something has changed, forwarding trailers don't need LOLER.
  5. Its has always struck me as strange that this concept has only really been used comically for skip wagons and cable drum trailers.
  6. More importantly (IMO) are you making more and enjoying your work?
  7. Or the hole in the bar is blocked.
  8. Sorry I posted at the same time as you posted the picture, thats not Leylandii, its some sort of pine. It looks pretty clean. Leylandii is often multistemed, with tight unions that collect soil and grit.
  9. Included unions filled with crap.
  10. Is it not "big girls blouse" not bottom? or is it a regional thing?

    A none existing cat.
  13. Old MOT failed truck with Hiab would be cheapest, I would have thought.
  14. Personally I only have "Critical illness" cover. This pays out a lump sum if I'm diagnosed with Cancer or the like. I cover generally ill health out of my earnings, I have looked at income protection in the past, but there appeared to be lots of loopholes and the amount they payout is pretty poor. I guess if I was had a prolonged none critical illness I guess I would sell some gear.
  15. The problem with evolution is it merely requires you to live long enough for you to breed and raise those young. In fact it could be argued that dying in late middle age could be beneficial to us as a species, freeing up resources such as food, plus not becoming a burden to those younger and more productive.
  16. You sound very much like those within the tobacco industry back in the day. You are just ranting, not really building any sort of constructive argument.
  17. To answer the post question, use your thumb nail or a knife to scrape the bark off a few twigs, if its green under the bark there is hope, if its brown there is no hope.
  18. I think you need to check with your local council.
  19. This is in large part already the case. Many councils use the availability of mains gas as the criteria for smokeless zones. Within smokeless zones you need an approved stove and you MUST burn DRY wood. My brother lives within the smokeless zone and burns wood. One of his neighbours complained to the council visited and observed the colour of the smoke. They were happy he was burning dry wood.
  20. I really really don't get why people are so interested in all this, but then I don't get "celebratory" stuff generally. Why on earth would the lives of people I don't know and have not even met be of interest to me ? I'm off clay pigeon shooting
  21. Thats like lighting a fire and when it spreads and burns a tree with a nest in it, blaming the fire. The actions of a cat are totally foreseeable and the owners should be held responsible, IMO. It'll never happen, we live in a ridiculous world full of hypocrisy and nonsense. Bankers get away with daylight robbery, littering by ballon, firework or lantern is fine etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

    Overloaded

Thats strange, I was done in in 2003, I was 2ton over on my rear axle, I did not attend court, but wrote to them. I received a total discharged as the driver, my Co was fined £350. Pretty sure points were not an option at the time.
  23. Just do it on the 19th, call it a street party and there will be no charge
  24. Why are cat owners not prosecuted daily? I would argue simply acquiring a cat fulfils the definition in your post.
