  1. IME, if you want to centrally heat a house using wood you need a large outdoor boiler. Alternatively you could get a multi fuel stove and burn wood most of the time, but use coal or smokeless overnight.
  2. If you using your strop correctly there is zero chance of it ending up round your ankles. As for needing pegs to "catch" you if you slip, this IMO, is a bit of a myth. OK maybe on a smooth, wet Sycamore there is a possibility, but not on a conifer or any rough barked trees. Pegs are a crutch, they are not needed and in my view are the sign of a poor or sloppy climber. Ok so its only his 3 dismantle, but far better to start with good practice, IMO.
  3. I would imagine it has a centrifugal clutch, so the drum tuning is ok. But not a machine I’m familiar with, so I could be wrong.
  4. Except their self-employed, apparently.
  5. 10 years ago things were great! We had estate agents going round the country inflating the value of people homes, those people then remortgaged. So basically they were handing out briefcases of unearned cash. A lot of that cash was pumped into the economy. Its taking sometime for the economy to reset.
  6. How do you help the genuinely suffering, without the lazy putting themselves into the same position as the suffering in order to reap the same benefits? The more generous you make the benefit system, the more people suddenly find themselves in need, weird ain't it? As benefits have been cut more and more mysteriously find they are able to work after all..............who knew? I feel sorry for those in genuine need, but how do we get round lazy human nature?
  7. I just go for those who I feel will do the least damage. I'm not really afraid of labour getting into power, what scares me are the measures that will be needed to fix things after their gone
  8. If you remove half your foot with a saw I guess it will feel lighter still.
  9. Problem is we ain't exactly spoiled for choice, lesser or various weevil and all that.
  10. But they don't even have toe protection, not to mention saw protection.
  11. Thing is I'm not sure he actually does, very religious people, IME, are often very happy living with the status quo, while claiming its wrong and offends the view. Its a sort of "eat your cake and still have it" situation.
  12. Do you think he thought his vote would make those things happen?
  13. IME, intelligent religious people are very good at "double think" they have the ability to truly believe two opposing things at the same time. We all do it to an extent, I think you yourself do it with regard free will etc. He will voice his beliefs, but actually not follow through, he can easily use public will to do whats right, imo.
  14. Wishing you all the best with your new direction Steve
  15. They are saying that "planned" log drying installations will be allowed, so clearly there is not intension to stop those already accredited. Haters are always gonna hate
  16. Have you a link to any evidence for your claim? Fossil fuel can quite easily be used to heat kilns and dry logs, so using renewables is a substitute, making it fit the RHI criteria. The fact that the business is only viable due to RHI is immaterial as far as I'm aware.
  17. I would imagine the price of the equipment will mysteriously fall once RHI ends
  18. The MP who's in trouble over the charity do is pro brexit, the FT who are behind the story are remain........................ just saying. I heard an interview with one of the "hostesses" she said the offenders were few and far between, most blokes just chatted to her about the wives and children.
  19. Something which if it affected your family you say you would pretty much beat a man to death for, is not news worthy
