  1. Are you really that dim? Advertising!
  2. I don't think they are "growth rings", I think the black lines are the barriers between different colonies of fungus, but I could be wrong.
  3. Do you have a smart TV or other device thats connected to the "internet of things" that has audio receiving equipment?
  4. From the bit I read I think it’s about making councils consult residents, rather than simply do what they want or will be cheaper in the long term.
  5. Reaction to Sheffield, I guess.
  6. Shame Vespasian is not on his lead. Where is his owner?
  7. Vespasian, you really are a nasty piece of work, you just get pleasure from arguing to no purpose. You are like a 2 year old craving attention. Shame on you.
  8. If I'm driving down the road, well under the speed limit and from behind a tree a child jumps out. Is it my fault if I hit them? After all the child "presents no danger" to my car? ???
  9. Oxymoron. .Sorry
  10. How long before we have "dog cam's" fitted to our pets simply for their own defence?
  11. We have better things to do, "battle of wits, unarmed man" etc.
  12. This was a "notice" not an "application" Requirement to inform TO of date of works, so they attend or meet beforehand is not unusual IME for a TPO app, but generally if you know the TO they wave it, IME.
  13. If a tree is worthy of TPO, but the work you are doing is acceptable, then no TPO is needed, so they do need a pretty accurate spec of the intended work.
  14. Mark, I have just reread this thread, I cannot find one incident of an "Insult" one word or otherwise? Please show me where I've missed them? I think people have pointed out what they and I see as less than ideal working practice, in a pretty moderate and reasoned manner. Clearly your hope was that we would all watch your video and our jaws would drop in awe at the skill exhibited. I'm sorry this did not happen and do understand your sadness.
  15. Despite what most remoaners claim, we are leaders in workers rights and protection, so would expect much change.
  16. Think another issue is if you start getting customers to think about seasoning their own logs, its not a huge step for them to think maybe I should be looking to get wood free or very cheap and cut it myself.
  17. What reputation? ?? No one knows who you are or what you've done, you could be an 8 year old girl with an iPhone for all we know.
  18. Who wants to clean their house? who wants to cook their food? who wants to cut their grass? who wants to drive their own car, shop for their own food, etc, etc, etc,.................................... Some do, some don't. Smart people make money from doing things for people that those people don't want to do.
  19. Ok so you say Corbyn is being smeared and miss represented, fine. Lets as I believe they say in football "play the ball, not the man" Look at Labours policies and aims. You really think our country would prosper with them in power? IMO, its only short sighted public sector workers, those on benefits and the ideologically deluded who vote Labour.
  20. Depends, they may need to dry their timber in one place and then move it to another area before burning.
  21. You want the customer to carry out the part of the task you detest, but seem surprised they don't want to.
  22. You appear to have missed my point. I have no interest in helping big business deskill all trades and pay peanuts to their staff, as they can easily be replaced by a never ending stream of cheap labour. I'm all for skilled men earning a decent crust and supporting their families.
