  1. Oh dear!! This thread is approaching 5 years of age, imagine how well the replacement trees could have been doing, they could be really well established by now.
  2. You don't need to be round the stem, just a strong branch.
  3. I paid £240 for my 20' container and collected myself.
  4. Mandela could have reeked revenge on the whites when he took power, he could have taken the presidency for life, he could have been a Mugabe, he did none of these things. He called for peace and reconciliation.
  5. Did you also know that it was Mrs T who appealed to the SA government not to hang him, as was expected upon his conviction??
  6. The small log thats rolled near the glass makes me feel nervous:001_huh: Love the arrow point down for a low stump
  7. Could it bee our poor fuel???
  8. I would think it has something to do with the fact that half the bark has been removed from the trunk, looks like its been hit by a vehicle. But regardless of that, if felling healthy trees makes you unprofessional I'm must be a complete rogue:001_rolleyes:
  9. Not thought of that to be honest I think my overdraft is 5% above base, so 5.5% I'm going call them and see if I could increase my overdraft to £15K. I really hate being in my overdraft, but I guess its just a state of mind, just need to adjust my thinking, as as you say it would make good business sense:thumbup1: Good job I'm better at cutting trees than business
  10. Yes thats unreal!!! How can it be legal for a bank to make a client sell to an asset stripping Co THAT THEY OWN!!!!!!!!!! Surely there will be criminal charges following this?????
  11. This is so true!! I know of a farmer who through the winter had an overdraft of up to £1M, the bank loved them, personal calls from their manager, Xmas cards, etc, they were hit by Foot and Mouth and ended up with £4M in their account, the bank suddenly had no interest in them at all.
  12. No, no, the big saw must be a "bottomer"
  13. I'm very chilled I just find the term comical and was seeing if others agreed, clearly I've caused some offence, which was never my intention.
  14. Does most of whats discussed on here "actually matter"??? I thought that was sort of the whole point??
  15. I always call it my "little saw" or "020". Never called a saw a "topper" in my life, thats the name of a hat surely???
  16. No its pretty good for an unsecured bank loan to a LTD Co. And its better than the Yorkshire who are trying to "lure" me back. If my credit rate was not so good I'd be looking at 12.9%. The days of keep money are long gone.
  17. Really???????????:lol::lol: Yes, but thats because thats what you usually use it for "Topping":001_tt2: When I "top" trees I prefer a 66
  18. I moved to Santander a couple of years ago. The reason I moved was that Yorkshire Bank (who I had been with for over 25 years) started charging me for my business account. Yorkshire would not give me an overdraft on my business account, Santander gave me £5K straight away. Today I decided I wanted to borrow £10K. I rang Yorkshire, as my business manager was a decent guy and had aways done me a decent deal. They offered me a rate of 8%, but I would have to move my account back to them, they would "look at" giving me an OD, with an annual arrangement fee of £175, Santander charge me £50!! Rang Santander, they were really help full and offered me 7.9% I had thought of Santander as just a machine, with no interest in their clients, I must say I feel a little warmer towards them today
