  1. I've got some Draper ones. On the pistol grip the threadding went on the top of the cylinder. The side arm one seems better. I've got an old blue one that is really good but other than being a light blue pistol grip thats all i know about it. What grease are we all using. Been using some Q8 oil EP2 grease at the moment seems ok. Thinking of getting lithium grease. Its going in PTO UJ and flails and cranes
  2. I think they do now.
  3. You just need a longer deflector on the discharge to sort that out.
  4. Last time i saw he was outside Bradstock tools. He said he was good but totally flat out.
  5. I think its the 460cm i think. It's the same length as the husky just seems more clunky. I was told the short shaft one for the clearing saw can't take anything other than the saw head by two dealers. Best strimmer i've used was a Husky 345fxt. Heated handles, thumb throttle and a short shaft. It was great.
  6. I think the FS460 is good however i do find it cumbersome compared to the Husky one. The shaft seems too long and it's just off balance. The 545rx is nice but the tank keeps adventuring down the shaft no matter how tight you do it up. It is no way as good as the 345rx that it replaced. Not sure on what i'd get as a replacement to be honest. 460 as the vibes are lower but i t is cumbersome.
  7. Have you tried Stuart at Garden City trees?
  8. Are you looking for a CS30 course or one of the domestic home owner style courses?
  9. Drill a hole put in an anchor bolt with an eye and a shackle, strop and lift?
  10. Another thing that it could be (if its a manual winch) is the leaver isn't coming over to engage the drive. Also another option is the shaft that the drum slides on is corroded and it's sticking. Had that happen. Either way i think you have to take the winch apart.
  11. You only get the stated pull on the first few wraps on the drum. Hence why people say buy bigger than you need. The other way to do it is to use a snatch block set up to get the stated pull close in. As for adjusting the clutch i only know how to do a Fransgard but it really is as simple backing off two bolts then doing them up tight then backing them off a quater turn. Did any of the WD40 get on the clutch plate? It's not good for them causes them to slip...
  12. It annoys me that the crane doesn't slew as the log feeds through but the tilt frame stays perfectly upright. Bad form that is.
  13. It's Ponsse.
  14. I think i'd quite like that job. I'm rather into side arm flailing at the moment, normally hate it but this year i'm loving it.
  15. Bandit must put one of their something like their 90 on a turntable.
  16. Its nice to ask. The thing to consider is the people using them. Younglings tend to want bigger saws 60-75cc size but quite often mess stuff up because it cuts too fast for them and are better suited to a 50cc. Of course they get heated handles weather they want it or not.
  17. Husky 525RXT seems to be the lowest vibe strimmer i have found at 1.8/1.9 m/s². Downside it's only 25cc. The 555RXT clearing saw is 1.5/1.6 m/s² but that is a 55cc monster. This is also reflected in its monster price tag. Depends on what you want it for really. STIHL ones maybe lower but i don't get on with their set so can only tell you these two in a search for a low vibe machine.
  18. Need to strech the legs occasionally but is fairly comfortable. Best set up i played with was a roof mount T150 with a fancy seat. Load of room and you could then slide the seat forwards and back to get the perfect postition.
  19. Ah the 8000 series window is a pain. I've never seen a window one in the flesh only the cheaper metal blanking plate option.
  20. If climbing newbies can come then i'll come. Its only 20 mins away from me.
  21. That is very smart. I'd put some guards over the rear lights and the side lights too. Any reason you've not put the spool block in the cab? That a KTS trailer?
  22. I thought they were only introduced 300ish years ago.
  23. Is it really 600 years?
  24. You think Clarks will do a strop block and maybe a shackel for a 9.5t winch re direct. So rated to 19-20t.
