  1. sorry bro- yeah i just place 2 needles opposite each other through the x over. this stops any slippage whilst i faff about with the other bits of the process. when im running the bury home i remove the needles and continue milking 'til the x over is buried accordingly. some people tape the x over, some people stitch it-this is just quicker for me. hope thats cleared things up somewhat
  2. to keep it nice and tight
  3. presuming the rw with spider would be for single line.. yeah still playing with the wrench but just cant get away from the feeling its goin to smack my teeth out as it sits in front of my face. saying that though, for the 10% of the time that the srt tech is needed for me, it works really good. I think that where it will ly for me, Dbrt nearly all of the time and SRT as and when needed. great to have both techs available for when you need them. Now back to footlock ReDi......
  4. i find just sticking 2 needles through the x over keeps it intact better than whipping it and also takes less time. wire fids all the way and put in the fid and then taper(personal preference there). i find doing the core in to cover bury and the cover into core bury the easier way round of doing it too. Nice one Dean, good work bro.
  5. SRT blah blah blah.. nah only joking bro, its all good. I keep trying single line style but i still just cant get with it for 90% of my work. if its working for you though then good times. Ill see if i can get some redi pics up for ya DAK...

  11. the microfrog is an all in one system that is super neat and also what i use daily. the clip n climb is more of a system you can cobble together using bits you might likely own already thus lowering the cost of starting out srt. once you know its the way for you, the microfrog is the ultimate minimalist system but does require a specialised spliced bit of gear.
  12. After 3 days of torrential rain walking through the bush, this kept me 100% dry from rain and sweat. bit pricy but damn good. Prophet XPD Jacket eVent Men's - Rainwear - Men's Clothing - Shop for Gear and Clothing
