  1. An easy way to retrieve the anchor point single line is like this, you just work on the big ring side but retrieve the cambium saver as normal. Think this idea comes from Kevin himself.
  2. Stick with the wire bro- ill do a step by step photo thing tonight.-if I get time that is
  3. id like to think it was done to "prove to the powers that be that rope on rope can be rated" and not that all should be.
  4. if a 10m CE lanyard is used in single leg configuration and its cool to use, does that mean the single line hitch is therefore deemed safe? just putting it out there to fuel the debate:)
  5. when you do, let me know and ill see if i can hook you up some good places-there is a lot of rubbish there too.

  7. keyfob made from 6mm ocean vectran
  8. well , just bought a 346xp. happy days
  9. Nah bro, we just used donaghys 10mm static line as backup and 11mm teufelberger static as main line. The 11mm was spec d by actsafe, the manufacturer of the ascenders. We had one 600m and 500m each to descend with.
  10. the Pinto works a lot nicer than the hc for me and keeps the wrench facing away from me. the qr shackle lets me use the pinto for other things without untying knots.
  11. okay bro-its on.
  12. you gave your dog a knife
  13. Hey dave, yeah I'm definitely keen. Well need to get a definite game plan and then I may be able to get us some help. Bring on the Congo!!

  15. Hmm you've piqued my interest there bro..
  16. Helical bro
  17. Yeah exactly bro. Otherwise the blunt end catches the shackle. I'll see if I can find some pics, I've got em somewhere !
  18. Company name? Type of work? Hours, accomodation etc... More info bro!!
  19. I've tapered the cover and buried it but it's not the easiest. An easier trick is to taper and then whip the tepered cover onto the outside and then cover in heatshrink . If you don't do this I found the blunt end catches the shackle when retrieving rope guide and after time opens the eye (still safe though) and make s an ugly splice even uglier.
  20. i agree that they are 100% liable but i wouldnt expect them to knock on doors, place letter drops telling people when they are working- this would add so much time onto there jobs it would be silly. Its one of those jobs where stuff is occasionally going to happen and they just need to have a claims team available to settle the claims. Its what happens here anyway.
  21. Dont ask, just go and do it
  22. First name scott last name forest
  23. custom made stickers bro for helmets. BUT i think its a load of rubbish that stickers affect helmets-the foam maybe but not the plastic, im more concerned by UV damage down these ways.
  24. the foam inside is starting to breakup a bit and ive seen another where the foam had really broken up.no complaints on the exterior plastic and i really like the lightweight feel of it esp now thats it summer. Its definitely not a helmet that can be chucked around though
  25. thats set for filming bro-looking backwards. johno had the front facing one
