mine came with a load of spares so not need to source any although i seem to remember there were plenty on ebay last time i looked, I stick with parafin in mine as it can get seriously hot with that in it. I would stay away from hedge bottoms with it! trust me

I have found them good but you do need to work as instructed by doing two passes several days apart. My biggest grumble is constantly having to unblock the jet as it seems to clog very easily and this can effect the effectiveness of it as otherwise it wont burn at full temperature.

its a wood wasp (horntail) was it near a conifer woodland? as thats the normal haunt. I think the young are laid in deadwood

anyone done a primer bulb replacement, got to do one on a strimmer are they pretty easy job to do?, its on a husky 240, looks like they just clip in so should be a 30second job hopefully :cursing:bloody mice

Had a meeting with the o p's friends company yesterday, I have to say these guys are professional and everything is being properly designed and tested they are developing some seriously handy kit. Im looking forward to getting my hands on some of it for testing over winter, I think these guys are coming at everything from the right direction and I will be really keen to see the development of some of their ideas over the coming months/years and wish them all the best at it. Any no unfortunatly at this time I cant give any more info on their ideas as it wouldnt be fair

Woodgrow are good, get all my hedging plants from them. Mercaston tree co also good more likely to have a mature tree available but will be $$$ more than woodgrow -

ok i will accept the first one, but i have keyed out the 2nd and im getting cappadocian maple? which would explain the regen (suckering) and some of it being nearly tree sized. That said im willing to stand corrected, but i dont think its norway the leaves arent right for it, and there were a lot like this so not a one off -
any help on the ID of these please, first one is some sort of holly but very odd looking, the 2nd is some sort of acer but its naturally regenerating a lot more prolifically that even sycamore does, the area surrounding the tree in the woodland is overrun with the stuff. Cheers Charlie EDIT: is the first one holly leaved cherry?

here is the biggest one i can think of close to me or in any of the blocks i manage with the wife beside it for scale and this is a lot bigger than they normally get round here

our other kit is dewalt but i've not been impressed with the impact drivers, certainly not in the same league as the others available

ok so the makita seems to do the work, despite being the lowest power. I hadnt come across the ingersoll so thats another one to seriously look at. Im like the fact the snap on has a higher torque for breaking the nuts of by about 35% more than all the others. lots to think about, cheers guys

I am increasingly finding myself needing to undo very tight nuts and bolts on tractors, farm machinery and small scale kit, so Im after some thoughts on cordless impact wrenchs. Im looking at the following: Snap on 18v 1/2" drive 4850HO/6850/7850 depending on what i can drop on fleabay (most likily be a tidy used one) facom 19.2v 1/2" drive (new) online makita btw450 18v 1/2" (new) local dealers I would appreciate any feedback on them if anyone has use the above models no comments about buying knackered kit please

SE is the older denomination used for pro saws before being switched to using xp eg you had a 154se this then became a 254xp! the G always denotes heated handles so SG or XPG will have heated handles on them.

I have one, its great you can get stuff out through narrow trees and mine will pull out a couple of small birch trunks out 8"dbh 25ft long without it even knowing that there is anything on the back, with very little impact. its good with bigger lmps as well 20" dia logs for my alaskan in 12ft lenghts are not a problem. What i will say is try and skid the timber out in as long a pole as possible as mine doesnt like stuff under 8ft as it doesnt sit in the bunk well enough to grip properly. I saw that it looked a really good design especially with the fold down spades for skidding stuff to the arch if your working on sloping ground
