  1. My mistake was a ford thunder, second from top of the range... Like that navara tipper, shame about the mpg....
  2. I sorted out a massive walnut in Kirby Stephen 6 months ago... We braced it and put marine ply over the cavity to stop water ingress as the cavity was huge, when looking at the tree we noticed bat droppings and found 32 noctule bats and 83 pips in the tree that was why we went to town with the bracing to save half of the tree that was full of bats. The tree has a DBH of 169, so was a big one... We dug a 7ft ash sapling out of the cavity..
  3. In cumbria you can get a top of the range ranger 12k + vat ..... Mind you there has never been a better time to buy a car esp a 4x4, i have just bought my new vehicle after selling the landy tipper, you can see how desperate they dealerships are and within reason name your price + ask for a ridicoulous amount of extras.... What i have found out is there are no good deals on small vans, 6 months ago i was looking at corsa vans, again they wanted a sale and got offered deals as low as 5.5k +vat for a brand new one, this week they are not interested as everyone wants a small van, the best deal i got was 7.5k+vat.
  4. I paid 53p per ltr for oil today !!!!
  5. i want one.....:001_tt1:
  6. only as long as its not wet/ sorry damp in a ford ranger
  7. i am good freinds with a large national fleet manager... they have took all rangers off fleet because of the reasons i listed earlyer.... Saying that they are light years ahead of land rovers is rubbish because a defender for instance is a tool its not a toy like a ranger.... IMO the ranger is £12995 for a simple reason its a ford focus on bigger wheels..... If you do want to compare them with land rovers then you can but only with a freelander commercial which again kicks the ford rangers ass.... I have looked at the rangers Lee the salesman thought i was a muppet telling me they are amazing off road, on a test drive i shut him up by trying to reverse it up a slight grass incline, it was awful, also the panels wont stand up to much... Saying that if £12995 is what they are asking for a new one it is cheap, you wont even get a decent 7 year old td5 tipper for that price... I guess what i am saying is they are not great but what do you expect for the price....
  8. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Lee... V-thirsty Pants offroad and poor build quality....... If you need a 4x4 tipper that is japanese go for a toyota...

  22. You could get everyone you know to sell a kidney to raise funds, if you can find about 100 kidneys you could pay the deposit anyway
