  1. tip the logs out of the bag and use it again.
  2. since when has topping conifers been bad practice? nothing wrong with lowering conifers imo. there is nothing wrong with using spikes either as long as you can get the ladders to the same height as you intend to lower it to. then stand on ladders at the end, still stopped it of course.
  3. ive heard good things about the ground saws. their drills are bullet proof, i use to fit windows and used a makita 14v cordless everyday, they are solid and reliable.
  4. people need to take a bit more responsiblity for drying there wood imo, why not buy it all in spring and then they dont have to worry if its dry or not by winter. plan ahead.

  19. agree, but you can make a living as a tree surgeon who doesnt specialize in large td. im living proof. although you have to be able to work at an efficent speed and not damage things.
