    olive trees are expensive
  5. councils got with the cheapest quote mostly.
  6. oak and beech take alot longer then sycamore and ash to season. but your method is spot on.
  7. no i did not, but my point was that the wood seasoned adequately to be burnt and in was less then a year old and stored outside.
  8. im burning hardwood right now which was cutdown early this year and stored outside in disks i split them in autumn and they all burn nice. when you split them you can see the water mark from the rain and it doesnt go that far into the log. maybe your moisture metering that small area.
  9. i enjoy doing the ground work every now and again, you will be surprised what you will learn to be honest, it just takes time.
  10. i hate pegs too! i spike up and remove the branches as i go up on small conifers. looked good mate.silky work is safer work

    Allotment

treedave i covered the plot with carpet to help kill the weeds. the paths have membraine under the woodchip to stop the weeds. i dont want a greenhouse or shed as it attracts vandals. Monkeyd looks good, do use weed killer? treesurfer sorry to here that, shame you had to give it up. raised beds are good, great if you have poor soil, they are easier to manage and mine are 4 foot wide so you can reach them from both sides without having to stand on them. dan go for it, just start digging! lay some carpet over a space and then dig it over in the spring.

  16. jamie oliver is c**k but this is a top recipe. i put it in my sarnies, but its nice with alsorts. http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/veggies-and-sides/cheeky-chilli-pepper-chutney
  17. i hate that green slimey stuff on branches making them very slippy, dog pooh, nails, ivy, cars, fences, greenhouses, sheds, wind, rain, kids, doing extras for no extra money, creepers covering everthing, metal bits in hedges, when the customer asks to keep the logs and wants them logged up... i could go on
  18. my husky spout has been dripping for ages, luckly i felled a birch onto it so now its completely broke.
  19. ive got an amazing chillie and red pepper chutney recipe if your interested, it rocks. ive also done a jar of pickled onions and beetroot for xmas. im a bit of a purest, keep the recipes simple, i did put a few small chillies in the onions tho.
  20. the lying part is worst. everyone makes mistakes especially when new to a job. id give him a second chance personnally.
  21. did you sook the onionsin water overnight before pickling? its meant to keep the onions crispy. im a fan of chillies but i wouldnt put that many in personnally. i normally dry my chillies out and store them in a jar.
  22. i think your zero tolerence approach sucks.
