  4. nowt wrong with a little bit of natural rigging any damage is a lot less than what you have just cut off i use both but it,s got to be worth getting rigging kit out wheras just a couple of 6 inch limbs not worth getting all kit out:biggrin:

  6. i gave an oak to a guy with a mill and a kiln and got a kitchen floors worth in return tis nice but still shrunk a little
  7. think you can see on left i generally glue a 3 inch ish peg on so no wood is wasted and find spigot slips more or distorts when i crank it up or am i doing something wrong:blushing: basic pva usually but it,s a bit cold at mo put peg in jaws then put block on and hold tight with spinner bit from other end sorry dont know technical stuff

  12. all christmas presents i am off to ASK Tools woodturning and woodworking tools and machinery tomorrow to get my christmas presents so will look at that sovereign stuff need a selection of rests tried to make some but not as pukka as i would of liked and always a few more chisels never go amiss also need some more glue any advice:thumbup:

  14. totally agree i have body problems mainly due to using a prussick for too long wish new gadgets had been out when i started not bothered what system folk use but i would advise anyone doing regular tree work to look at alternatives to basic prussick after there first year any pull down the centre with auto lock off is better personally not the biggest fan of vt hitchclimber setup but ergonomically better for you:thumbup: ask most guys after a couple of years to go back to a prussick and they will not be happy bunny,s

  17. same as everyone cracking vid was that done by yourselves or professional outfit loved the melting of the rope but thought the choice of rope running on grcs was strange but cracking well presented work one of the best i have ever seen if not the best:thumbup:

  22. totally agree thats because he was too high but did not want to put him down too much and we don,t even know if he did it or it was his apprentice but would all be going for firewood so does it really matter (yes it does)

  24. dean sink cut too deep backcut slightly sloping hinge not quite even looks like you had to re do sink cut is that why it ended up been too deep 7/10 if you want a score:thumbup: was that yours or the apprentice:blushing:
