  12. LA we already have a good mapping system but need stuff to run along with it. Or so i am told I have not been involved in selection and all the merits as yet. TBH seems a nightmare but will hopefully save me a lot of wasted time:thumbup:

Nice vids serious question do you use chainbrakes ever over there:confused1: worst bit for me was 3.22 2nd vid I personally would of felled the last tree with the backcut starting at the house side to set the hinge house side and finish other side so at to allow for extra hold but thats personal Some of the tie off points could of been a bit scary if you had not run the ropes accordingly I only have 3 lads i really enjoy running the ropes How long ago was that done. I have used one of those original portawraps but most of the new ones are a lot better and the diameter has got bigger For me it was nice to see a working vid rather than a instructional one:thumbup:
  14. as a point most hi vis stuff has a wash limit ie 20 times Do the stretchy airs Certainly my hi viz tops and jackets are wash limited:confused1:
  15. no good been a professional Gundogs, hard as nails and are very sensetive to ridicule when your master is a crap shot and never hits anything Wish our master could run and be fit like bob:thumbup: half a mile just ain't enough
  16. why would you not want to spend 10 mins going through stuff with the lads that ground for you if it,s a proper lowering job and there groundies are not up to it take one with you or tell em to get a grip or your not doing it staff will never be good if you do not tell em:confused1:

  21. Thought someone would of mentioned leaving a long log many a giggle has been had It is certainly taught and discussed in CS34 training and assessments. I am not saying this was a prime example of when to do it as i was not there. But the right person doing it in the right situation is not always bad NPTC | Assignment Schedules Part 2 section 4
  22. I have done 2 similar to this just had the gas board guys there with meters and fire extinguishers and a big fan though they ran like the wind when we ground a stone haha
