  1. Double time!?! I'll give the good recipe for thin soup, same as we all Get!!!?
  2. Jase, you sad get helping folk while off on holiday!
  3. While grovelling underneath, change some oils and check the bushes in the suspension. Check also that the leaf springs are good and shockers dry.
  4. Try talking to the importer, PSD aka Gibson's at Colne. They should be able to help with your problem. Do they work in reverse but not feed in? Is the no stress divide okay? Are you getting full throttle? Is it a mechanical link between bar and valve or electronic?
  5. I had to collect a length of plastic downpipe so I tie wrapped it to the side of the car on the door handles - it looked like a rocket launcher!
  6. Start with the cheap things, battery connections, earth straps, then start checking the wiring?.....loose fuses, duff plugs etc. It does sound like an electrickery issue.
  7. Standard, but at 9inch of surface each and £40 each, makes them cheaper than full width flats and they can take more grief than a flat passing a shear bar.
  8. The disc blades can take a lot of punishment compared to straight edged blades but yes, it is still a chipper but can handle other stuff better than an ordinary chipper. Fence posts included as long at the steel 'god mother' has been removed and not like a full pin cushion!
  9. We may be able to sort something out and supply it through your local GreenMech dealer. Or, if I read you correct, the lever turns in the receiver on the spool valve. Originally, it was a bolt welded into the arm and held into the receiver with a grub screw.?
  10. Yup, he would do a good job! Newport, Shropshire way and knows one end of a spanner from another.
  11. In South Wales, there is a TW dealer for a start! Other than that, there is a number of people who could do it, as it is only steel, nuts and bolts!
  12. DCM! Not heard that phrase in a year or two!
  13. 18hp is listed at £4640 plus vat. At 200 kilos, get long ramps and a little winch to make loading easier. Maintenence is a doddle and they are very reliable and productive! The GreenMech website will tell you who is your local dealer. They occasionally come up second hand.
  14. In the day they were! But I'm not sure if the controls comply with current H&SEE spec.
  15. Hi Rachel, glad you got a road tow and glad Jase has responded. Better advice than I would have given as I would have said cheap old 15/40! I wouldn't bother with an water trap filter but fit an inline as you can see if crude is being sucked in. Give me, or Jase, a call at any time, 07774 282481. Sorry you couldn't get through 1st thing, I know that Jase is on holiday and his 2IC, Nick was helping someone from Hong Kong this morning. BTW, Orange don't do GreenMech, go to Lloyd Ltd at Throckley and get your spares from them.
  16. It is going abroad and they quite often have a tow hitch in the rear cross member rather than a drop plate arrangement on bigger trucks.
  17. An old boy and his elderly wife who lived in one of the best properties in Kegworth always had us around to do stuff in the garden always tipped best part of half a bottle of scotch in a big teapot with strong tea to fortify us!
  18. The Green,Grey and White is for the UK and the electric yellow is bound for France.
  19. In chain terms, a clutch is the little dangly thing that you use to drop a chain link into, it clutches the chain and holds it - a way of shortening the chain length to something more useful.
  20. Choke chain and clutch and lots of in and out of cab!
  21. The official line is yes, depending on colour. Some clients who buy for a fleet have a Corporate colour and we factor that into the costs, if the powder is the same cost as GM green then we have been known to let it happen - we should charge but, heyho! 25 odd years ago, they did mine a Post Box red to match the trucks I ran at Barrowcliff's and charged me £400. The difficulty arises if they ever need a panel replacement, a change of colour for small panels is a pita!
  22. Those were from last week and these were going through this week. The white are for Germany and the Yellow is for France.
  23. Spotted these on the way through the place last week.
  24. Does happen! After all, we are pretty well all working for the capitalism ideal of work and get rich! We all want to eat meat at the weekend.....
