  1. Of course you can join the club Baz, all makes welcome....Good to know that while Peruzzo copied GreenMech - at least they made a complete hash of the finer points like manuals etc.
  2. That figure of 2040kg is probably a metric conversion of an imperial weight?
  3. I think the ruling is more to do with the status, ie, a dual purpose vehicle (4x4 crewcabs) should be less than this 2040kg, above isn't classed as dual purpose and is a commercial truck. Slightly different MOT status too. Not an expert, just saying...... Would the firm that sold it to you, have some responsibility for informing you under 'duty of care'?
  4. Correct. If a crewcabs weighs more than 2040kgs unladen, it is no longer classed as dual purpose and as such, is restricted to 60 as the national speed limit. Now that the automatic speed cameras are getting linked to the central computers through the ANPR system, you could be 'innocently' doing 70 on a dual carriageway or motorway and get an easy three points and fine! The 2.2 Unlimited or XLT come under the weight so are okay. Apart from they need a few more ponies!
  5. My 63plate Ranger had engine swap at 100k, new DPF very soon after too. Gets between 17 and 32. Shame the 3.2 isn't supposed to do over 60mph on the road, few other crewcabs are the same too!
  6. Would prefer a couple or three hits, don't mine loose, don't mine how they dried (annoyed with wet, sawmill waste). Close to Tuxford.
  7. I find standing behind an old circular, powered by a grey fergie, very therapeutic. But I don't get enough time to keep up with the amount that the four fires at hers burn! Yet, I may still take the offer!
  8. I could do with some contact details for bulk suppliers into North Nottinghamshire. Barn or Kiln dried, loose or packaged! This is not for selling onwards but for my own use. PM me if you need more info. Looking for approx 10-15 tonnes. Thanks!
  9. The bearings would have to be very, very bad (welded together) before any drag would noticeable. Like Jase says, open the top a get the big bar! Rotate it backwards too!
  10. That is an awful situation to be in, having and erstwhile tidy but of kit, let down by complete indifference on a warranty/fit for work issue. I cannot imagine the distributor is feeling good about this either. Cannot repairs be made to the wiring locally?
  11. Admittedly, some parts would not be on the shelves but it depends on what delivery period you were quoted. We got a major part on order and it will be three weeks.
  12. This orange unit is off to Germany and the new owner requested that an LED light be fitted to the top of the infeed chute for night work!
  13. There is a market place for everything, usually. At that price, this may struggle however.
  14. Foaming or frothy oil could be 'cavitation', air is being mixed with the oil as to it is circulated. Usually from a faulty pump (as Gary says) or a loose hose fitting. Is the oil a milky colour on rest? Does it clear after a long rest? It isn't turning to a mayonnaise with water and oil mixed together?
  15. Buy a proper one for the workshop. They are one of, if not the best tool to buy! Caveats abound got safe usage but nonetheless, so helpful!
  16. Take it to the local belt people and they will measure it if the numbers have gone.
  17. See where you are coming from!
  18. Spotted these when I went in there today.
  19. Thanks for the comments! Incidentally, the emission regs that come into effect in 2019 only cause these changes for new machine engines. Old stuff is generally okay! I can forsee someone in the centre of the square mile in London getting anal about stuff which is right smokey!
  20. Google engineering company in Derby and ring a few. I know of a bloody good Ag engineer over by Loughborough who is an absolute diamond at stuff. He used to do anything that I wanted doing before I went to GreenMech and still does the odd thing for me now!
  21. Could be dirty fuel semi blocking an injector which would give a poor explosion - giving the judder. Or maybe a pump issue, a sensor issue which would give a false reading etc...get it plugged in for a full report. Mine has run spot on since the reboot!
  22. Just order one from predator! Stick with what fits and you'll be on the right side of a bodge!
  23. I think Northern Arb Supplies or SGM have ceased training? Were they linked? The GreenMech dealers have depots at Haddington and Kinross would be my official comment but being realistic - take them to an engineering shop or groundcare machinery place and they should have the kit to do it.
  24. Sorry, we do not have appeared to have any records available. We made some 250-300 of them and the where made under license from a Calor Gas design. Is yours kitted up with the gas bottle etc? With this one not fitted with any ag linkage or pto drive, I would think that this went into service as a tow tug (the bracket is there for a pin) and may have been used in a factory/distribution centre or possibly even as a airplane tow tug. The standard colour was a dull green and creamy white, yours being highway yellow throughs in another mix! I couldn't swear to it but that pale blue engine seems to remind me of the engine colour used by the MOD for their engines too. Is there any evidance of a registration number plate?
  25. One of our foreign dealers had this cover made for their 130 - they didn't want to get it to a demo turning up covered in salt and slime! Cover.html cover1.html
