  3. Can't see nothing wrong with just a trim, but if the council wants to get funny they will do the work themselves at charge a small fortune. I would tell them to sod off and tell them to widen the path It does sound like a lose lose situation at the mo, unless an apeal does work.

  6. When i lived in sweden i found it quite hard too, it doesn't help when their second language is english and 90% of the swedes speak it too. Also by the sounds of it actions speak louder than words for you anyway, get your other half to just speak swedish to you (not just in the bedroom ). It took me a few years to get use to it but that was mainly for the work i done, socialy it was back to english. Then came back to uk and forgot most of it

  22. Hoppus foot is a measure of volume from log to converted timber, accounting for loss. It is an imperial measure, used only in the British hardwood trade, and not in the softwood market. A Hoppus foot includes the rounded edges from which the cubic volume has to come. Therefore a Hoppus foot is larger than a cubic foot, i.e. there are fewer Hoppus feet in a cubic meter of timber. 1 m3 = 27.736074 Hoppus feet 1 m3 = 35.31467 Cubic feet 1 H ft = 0.03605 Cubic meter Hoppus feet can be measured by the cubic meter and then converted. Alternatively, a Hoppus girth tape can be used for measuring logs. It is calibrated in quarter girth (QG) inches, and the cross-sectional area is approximated by squaring the QG and dividing by 144. A Hoppus foot is about 21% short of a true cubic foot.
