Love them especially the really dry ones where all the bits go down your back then arse crack and end up in your boots . Don't forget the one where the previous person has shoved all the arisings down the middle. As Steve said ladder up, cut level and jump in .

Where abouts are you based ?? maybe someone on here can have alook and give you a bit of help with fueling and the basics. It's sounds like you have put the wrong oil in the fuel and gunked everything up, like whats been said i would half fill shake and empty for abit to clean out tank. hope you get it sorted.

Cut it off shorter rope and a landyard . If i was a supplier i would want to know about the product i'm selling and advise accordingly but thats just me. Does it say anything about the rope milking in the small booklet that usually comes with rope??

Looks awesome Matty French polishing is on of the hardest finishes todo IMO, It's all down to the prep work you do and the grain on every bit of wood creates a new challenge. Have a look at this link i found it useful http://www.woodfinishsupply.com/GuideToFrenchPolishing.pdf

How long is it ?? could you cut in half and join to make 60cm wide, a start of a coffee table maybe. or attach wheels on the bottom and have a skate board.

Working the wood for someone else, the timber will be going for firewood but the bigger butts will be milled for furniture. I can also help myself to anything i find of use, there is a mixture of ash and hawthorn. The hawthorn ranged from 8" to 12" diameter.
