  1. Yes you can't accuse someone of beening a gypsy because they don't have a ticket for a climbing saw. It's the word Gypsy its wrong most of them are not like that and it not right for you to say it, just my opinion take it or leave it me don't care.
  2. Why gipsy ?? Out of order i feel
  3. What would your main use be, Surely there are other things on the market eg. Silky. Yes you can get the from anywhere but not good advice imo. There totally are different to using a normal chainsaw and not ment for ground work. It's also bloody expensive 'handy tool' to have once courses and purchased saw had been done.
  4. Cheers for the link, i do small stuff well tiny compered to what you turn lol, I've just got a thing about painting beautiful wood but i guess if it sells and that what they want.
  5. I love the plate, the pencil is nice but a waste of lovely wood imo and to paint it after. Me want that lathe what make is it ??
  6. Only if you were selling them a mth ago i would have had some off you for my new place

  15. I think you can claim expenses on an office, leccy, all stationary stamps etc etc, furniture for office, telephone, day to day book keeper, even taking people out on a business lunch. I know it doesn't sound much but it adds up thro out the year. I'll speak to me Dad and ask him as he has done my bro s books and he hasn't payed tax for the last 3-4 year only started paying this year. And yes all above board as checked by tax man.

  19. Congrats both of you, all the best for the future:001_smile:
  20. Never used lime, havent found an intresting piece yet:001_smile:
  21. Oven gloves = wood canbe hot when coming off lathe mankini = it is none snag clothing rubber ring = to keep you a safe distance away from lathe and if a flying bit of wood does knock you out then you will collapse comfortable.
  22. What bob said Make sure lathe is not on max speed when starting (i forgot and lathe ended up on other side of garage) Height of lathe normal bench height. Sharp tools good too and know what the tools are for. (i didnt and the flying bit of wood almost knocked me out). I started on mushrooms (not the magic ones), just so i could get use to the tools. Pine i started on, once mastered that and got a smooth finish with tools then anything else you turn will be easy. wear a dust mask when turning or use a good extractor, also wear oven gloves a mankeni and a rubber ring (Beginers only). If not sure what tools you have post a pic up and i'll se if i know.
  23. Draper Xl Pattern Auger Bit - Draper available at Toolbox Toolbox - Search Results for auger extension bar How about this tommer with a few extension bars should work, just an idea.
