  1. Here's the pic of my small lathe i was on about.
  2. Cheers Andy
  3. I've just got a mini lathe from there a jet one and i have to say it kicks arse, light enough to transport between shows and to teach the basics. I have a stand at The Arb & Forestry Event 2010 || F.R. Jones and Son If you go come and have a play.
  4. I personally don't rate the record chisels(lathes good tho), If you buy good you only need to do it once. Robert sorby, ashley iles and henry tailor are the ones i would go for. As your lathe is not to big you will get away with using a 3/8 fingernail spindle gauge which what you should be using on the candle holders and mushrooms. When you get on to bowls a 3/8 fingernail bowl gauge. These two are the main tools you will use, the only other tool i would get is a decent parting tool.
  5. Looking good me like
  6. Here goes i have an iphone 3gs (probably the last person to get one) and i'm wondering if you can put your Photos into folders. like work pics in one and family pics in other instead of all been shown, as if im showing someone a work pic i don't want them looking at family ones. My crappy phone done it ?? Plus don't know how long its been out for but has anyone downloaded ios 4 ?? I did and its got 1. camera and vid zoom plus vid focus 2. choice of putting aps in folders to create more space 3. tags your photos and puts location on google plus more which i can't be arsed to list, probably everyone has done this already and i'm the last one
  7. Hello and welcome, hope you find something soon. Whats phase 1??
  8. Well i was going to write something but decided against it because it would only get deleted by the mods so i'll just put
  9. Of course but i can only comment on the one ive used
  10. Did it go bang in the heat ?? one good thing tho at least you will be able to identify it now and not loose it
  11. Looks good for first attempt, best advice i can give is keep your tools sharp. All depends what tools ou have, what lathe, I started off doing mushrooms and small trinket pots. I'm no expert but any questions feel free to ask, what did you finish them with.
  12. Justin does great deals at F R Jones & Son, Scroll down and look at banner on right hand side.
  13. Mines about 3ft because me sooooooo fat everytime i go to climb, the tree falls over.
  14. Hedge trimmer is sometimes the earth again by the carb end of things same with blower, the connectors use to be quite brittel.
  15. I think i spent more than i won it was fun and the girls were lovely anyway. Walked away with afair bit tho a big box of choccys which i left for the girls , a throw bag which Andy had for more tickets. A timberwolf keyring, fleece, thong, coffee mug, 2 kids t-shirts - a pruning saw, a pen holder thingy with clock, a pot of smellies, a t-shirt I think thats about it, oh and i won my own prize i donated what r the odds on that. But i gave that back too, oh again and two teddies.
  16. Usually its the earth wire in the switch or at other end, try and see if the contact is connecting with the switch ??
  17. Fantasic Congrats everyone who donated prizes and who won a great cause . To the childrens trust ladies, my girls loved the teddies
  18. What you want for hollowing tool Dean ??
  19. That puts me in most of those categories then oh well
  20. Why are you intrested ?? I'm sure Dean would give you discount it you ask
  21. Thats why they say a cat always has two homes
  22. Cats and dogs can go for you anytime, people may class as pets but can still be as visious. People have pet tigers, pythons, it an animal is in the mood to cause harm then it will no matter how well trained or demesticated.
  23. There is also billions each year been spent on cats.
  24. Everytime its going to scratch its ear it will give itsself concussion, what would it do when its icey too. I love cats i have two and a dog but wouldn't go that far as to give it a chicken drumstick limb. If a lion or a wild cat got its legs damaged you wouldn't go and do the same would you?? My answer would be no, Circle of life.
