  1. Have you got this book?
  2. My ex-bitter half is still my accountant.
  3. Go to Companies House, Set up a limited company. It's pretty straightforward. It may be worth engaging an accountant, if you don't already have one, as there are potential benefits to being a company director. Conversely, it is possible to stich yourself up, if you don't know what you're doing.
  4. Canny. I'm more of a techno/ hardcore/ jungle fan when it comes to electronic music. Nice tunes though.
  5. (Climate change)

  7. They'd drink to that.
  8. 13:23 tomorrow.
  9. True, but most prople write at an angle, so brackets can make more sense.
  10. The Iceni were canny hard. Then the Normans came along 1000 years later and another 1000 years futher on we have the EU. What have the Romans ever done for us?
  11. All I know is there's a wall on my doorstep.
  12. Is it right to suggest that the romans only took over the land up to Northumberland and then found resistance?
  13. Mate, the entire scientific community have been presenting a compelling arguement for standardisation since the days of Carl Linnaeus. Honi soit qui mal y pense.

    Jokes???

I was feeling low yesterday and the wife said " Cheer up, it could be worse, you could be stuck down a deep hole with water at the bottom" She means well.
  15. Yup, they would knack if you ended up into them. You can anchor your main line and use a figure 8 or similar to control friction. Or, invest in a long cambium saver/rope guide/pulleysaver. You can then wrap that round the stem and run your rope through there. Also stubs are a pain in the arse for when you're rigging things and the ropes get involved with them. It's a good idea to get into loosing them as a matter of course. It'll also give you more confidence on your spikes. Sometimes it may be useful to leave a stub, try to leave it on the other side of the stem to your work position, if you choose to do that.
  16. I disagree. Nomenclature is a great thing for increasing an arborists knowledge of trees and their likely associations with the wider environment. Irrespective of the 'Johnny foreigner importation of plants' angle, nomencalture serves to inform discussion and the transfer of knowledge of plants and their pests and diseases, on a world-wide basis. The yanks call plane trees 'Sycamores'. That's different to our sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus) - Acer tree with leaves that look like a bit like plane leaves. Plane trees and sycamores are two very different beasts and pose very different management challenges. Rule Science, Speak Gaelic.
  17. Maybe so. Did you see the way he went at the Scouse MP? Boris Johnson brazenly refuses to apologise for Liverpool and Hillsborough slurs - Liverpool Echo WWW.LIVERPOOLECHO.CO.UK Liverpool MP Maria Eagle asked new PM to say sorry to people of city and this is what he said
  18. Fact-check: Did Boris Johnson call Scottish people a 'verminous race'? WWW.THENATIONAL.SCOT "The Scotch – what a verminous race!"; "It’s time Hadrian’s Wall was refortified, to pen them in a ghetto on the other… It looks lke Sturgeon is wise enough to recognise a bullsitter when she sees one.

  21. I would look to learn ten a week. This is good book to use: I'd start with trees that I could already identify. Go and find your first ten with some felcos in your pocket and a camera. Write down their common and botanical names. Make notes on their habit, leaf size, bark etc. Practice for a self moderated test next week. Next week another ten. etc...
  22. I've found that it's prudent to price high when dealing with insurance companies. Yin and Yang and that.
  23. Haunted victorian pencil. Keep your eyes on Steve Bannon's puppies. Very similar rhetoric in Alexander boris de pfeffel johnson's spiel about creating powerhouses and galvanising destitute working towns, as there is/was in the same shallow lies that the tango-faced wankpuffin, Trump, peddled. Bannon was the Chief Strategist in Trumps early whitehouse days, it seems that he's a bit of a bastard. It also seems like he's pulling the strings: Ever get the feeling you're getting mugged off?
  24. This is what happens when you give your measurements in Imperial and your tailor works in metric
